Supporters' Club Meeting, Monday 9th at 7:00 p.m.

Wow. That month went quickly.

And what a lot has happened in between , particularly the Awards Night of April 30th which showed that the Supporters' Club can organise a remarkably successful event at minimal notice, and with an astonishing flexibility and competence.

Loads to discuss , lots of plans to make for this fantastic fund-raising summer , absolutely crucial arrangements to be made for the stalls/stands at Accrington Carnival , and we are all looking forward to the final plans for the floats of the combined Supporters' Club/Ultras Float Committee.

Also, we'll be making sure that plans are being properly implemented for the enlargement of our International Membership. This important subject needs input from as many Members as possible, and I'll be putting forward the opinions of the many Stanley fans who've contacted me from around the world.

Should be a great meeting - but only if YOU can make it !

Please give my apologies. I am off to America first thing Tuesday morning for a week's lecturing. I will definitely be at the next one though. Is it Mon 13th June?

Yes it's June 13th , subject to confirmation. Try to recruit a few new Members , John, after you've lectured 'em into submission. Have a good trip.

Floats as in two.. I still think one float between you would be better.. show frienship and all that... but hey two floats are better than one i guess.. so I take it all has been sorted with it?

The main items:-

1) Decision made to have one long articulated float (44ft) instead of two smaller ones.
Football theme with artificial grass (anyone remember "Cyril Lawn"?) like two years ago. Lots of red & white Balloons with the Club name on (sponsored by Ken Young, whom we also thank for getting Peter Holden to sing at the "do", see below) , contact Cammy, Kate, Lindsay, Bill Nuttall or Sam to get yourself in the picture. Please note : it means working not just swanning !

2) Social "do" on April 30th was the most successful the Club has ever run, not least financially. Also, we'd like to thank everyone for the fantastic buffet, raffle prizes and hard work.
