Stat Stuff

We have won our last 5 games.

We havent lost in the last 6.

We have only lost 2 games in our last FIFTEEN and they where to ex league clubs Exeter City and Cambride Utd

We have won 9 out of our last 13 games

We have only lost 5 times out of 19 games this season.. and only to league clubs and ex league clubs.

Third in the table.

Good eh? :)

Just one fly in the ointment - the fourth worst average gate in the league:(

It's what is going to happen next that's important, not what has gone behind.

But it is what has gone behind that determines your league position and that is very important!

best fans in the conference. numbers are not entirely important :)

Re: Stat Stuff

are you joking? numbers are the most important thing there is in football. number of points will decide who goes up at the end of the season..

small attendance means less money coming in, less money generally spells trouble

Re: Stat Stuff

sorry people i meant that noise is also important not just the number of fans but that is also important to.

Re: Stat Stuff

we beat any team in the league for noise and colour, no doubt, I just wish more people would come and watch. Especially since we are a lot more entertaining to watch than Blackburn and Burnley put together

Re: Stat Stuff

It's great to be third in the table with 19 points but, surprisingly, after nine games last season we'd got 20! I don't want to be pessimistic, far from it, but I'm sure it won't have escaped Coley's notice that, apart from Exeter, all the clubs we've played so far are in the bottom half of the table. Nevertheless, points is points; we've probably got our best side ever and more strength in depth than ever before and a win on Saturday will give us our best ever Conference start and could put us top of the table.

Attendance figures are worrying. The sooner the Accy public realise what is happening on their own doorstep the better.

Yes, and we dominated the game against Exeter, I felt we were very unlucky

Re: Stat Stuff

Can't really make too much of a judgement about attendances from just five games and especially when the opposition has been from the South every time!

The best comparison is with the respective game last season:

Team ..... Attendance 2005/06 ..... Attendance 2004/05

Canvey Island ... 1012 ... 1249

Exeter ... 1312 ... 1464

Woking ... 959* ... 2004

Crawley ... 1365 ... 1270

Aldershot ... 1142 ... 1272

The one huge difference is the Woking game, but that was played at 1pm before the England game. For the rest, we are averaging 1208 vs. 1314 last season in the respective games. It's a drop of just 8%, no more.

If Stanley keep winning, they will easily cover that shortfall; if they reach the 1st round of the FA Cup, they will easily cover that shortfall; and if they built the Clayton End roof they'll cover that shortfall ;)
