Only on goal difference, we have the same number of points as Grays Athletic so technically you could say we are joint top
Well done - 5 on the bounce, lets make it 6 against the shrimpers.

Excellent news to hear we have Darren Randolph for another month - great bit of business with Charlton

:D

'Well done - 5 on the bounce, lets make it 6 against the shrimps'

It's going to be one hell of a match on Tuesday night what with us firing in 13 goals in our last 4 games and slaughtering Stevenage today and with your lot doing the business Home & Away.

When you lost two of your best players I had a feeling it could affect your season but credit where it's due, Coley seems to come up trumps yet again with a seriously good strike force,

Here's to Tuesday! Have a safe journey and Jimbo i'll make no predictions for this one other than one goal in it to either side.

Ade.

Not on TV, but you can see 3 or 4 minutes of each match on http://www.conferencefootball.tv/.

Staveros, if you've got broadband then http://www.conferencefootball.tv/ is good, but you'll have to wait till Tuesday or Wednesday for today's highlights, but there's a back catalogue if you want to see some goals.

Also strongly recommend you get up to Morecambe on Tuesday for fish & chips and a top game. Look on the bright side, at least one of your teams is doing the business.

Mmmmm, simultaneous posts, spooky.

A great result and one that puts us in our strongest position in the last 35 years. Yet this forum seems strangely quiet, when I thought it would've been full of happy fans. Is it just that everyone is suffering from monumental hangovers, or is it just me getting dangerously over-excited?

Joint first .......... wow

The team look to have a great team spirit even between the players who are not played as often which can only be a good thing

We are now playing very well against the best and worst in the league and if we can stop conceding then it looks very very good for us this season

JUst hope the people of accy will sit up and realise that this could be the season when stanley become a football league side once more!

Did you know Morecambe gained the dubious distinction of being placed third in the October 2003 book Crap Towns: The 50 Worst Places to Live in the UK.

Re: Stanley go 2nd

Could well be...but this is a report on Morecambe.

Morecambe.
A place where the only big-name shops are Tesco, Iceland and the ever-present Argos. Take a trip through the Arndale centre (the 'classy' shopping arcade) and you will see all the usual chav hangouts... discount fashion, discount shoes, off licenses and sweet shops for convincing Chardonnay to go to the Post Office accross the road with mum for her giro. On the seafront Morecambe boasts an impressive array of bars offering various chav diversions - karaoke being popular. A Wetherspoons also opened recently, and is already the pub of choice for those wanting a fight.

Out of town, there is a McDonalds (of course!), conveniently sited next to the Heysham Bypass - a long, wide road perfect for burning off those 1.2 litre Nova's and Saxo's with all your similarly gorilla-like mates. Leading off the bypass is the industrial estate where wasteland exists in sufficient volumes for nicked cars to be burnt out by night.

For the upmarket chav, visit Happy Mount Park just before closing time, so you can have an argument with the park warden about kicking you out. Then you may spend your time in the car park at the back in a huge group getting ****ed on White Lightning from the Booze Buster near the station. For a bit of fun bring along the Nova and rev to your hearts content - sometimes the police will come and move you on, giving you the fun of mouthing off to an officer, or showing off your driving skills.

mfcforeva 26-09-2005 17:41

Re: Stanley go 2nd

That is off one of them anti-chav sites. Everyone has already heard what they have to say!

I think that each Conference club represents a town which have has contributed significantly to our national infrastructure and culture . For example:-

ACCRINGTON - The Most Famous non-Premiership Football Club in the World. Umpteen firsts in football, including the first Floodlit Football Match. Builder of numerous skyscrapers and of the Finest Homes in Suburban England (not to mention the entire town of Blackpool) with the celebrated Nori brick.

HALIFAX - Now a well-known bank, but previously a centre for the beheading of petty thieves.

MORECAMBE - Name adopted, as a result of some very bad advice, by Eric Bartholomew. His solo statue - which now graces an anonymous promenade on the coast to the west of Lancaster - has been described as " . . . lacking a certain something"". Other claims to fame include "Birthplace of Thora Hird".

Henry, what about lowly Darwen FC of the NW Counties Div2. They were the first English football club to use professional players, and won the first ever Lancashire cup final. Useless info, but lowly Darwen needs a mention somewhere!!!

Accy's like the old outside toilet in the backyard of Blackburn, how the hell can you knock Morecambe?
What bloody outlook have you got stuck in that dull place? not lucky enough to be able to have a long walk along a promenade, sea air in your gills whilst viewing the rolling hills of the lake district!
And as for the other points you raised about chavs and other crap, it's a national thing everywhere not just here, even Accy has their fair share of scumbags that no doubt ruin good folks everyday lives.

Cheer up! atleast ENGLISH is still the first language here in Morecambe
