Re: Stevenage V Stanley

just got back ..... to wiltshire.... first half performance was solid with some good football played by stanley , who were well in control for long periods, especially after the sending off. second half was shocking seemed to to go to sleep in the first few minutes and some rather sloppy defending allowed stevenage to score.

the penalty 10 minutes later was bad with NURSE doing a very good impression of jurgan klinsman at his best. he perhaps got the slightest of nudges but he made a complete meal of it. after that stanley looked out of it...long aimless balls forward and gaps at the back as we pushed up looking for an equaliser.
robbies own goal was a stunner....sorry robbie....put his foot out 25 yards out and looped over officer dibble into the net......really just one of those that could have gone straight to the keeper or could end up in the net sadly it went in the net

have to say the ref was appalling.....nothing to do with her gender just to do with not being in control of the game for long periods.

all in all another miserable trip to stevenage

come on you reds

It's early days yet, did anyone expect anything against 'Arrogance Borough FC'? Chin up everyone there's a long way to go and we will have much more dissapointing days than today!!! The only thing that worries me from todays prospective is Coley thinking Cookie could actually turn the game around. Surely with some young hungry eager lads on the bench they would have added something more to the second half. We have a long winter ahead and reckon it's going to be a properous one, so eveybody get behind Th'owd reds!!

One last thing, as we couldn't get to todays away game I would have expected more interest from our local BBC radio station. Same as last season and previous one's they seem more interested in covering their 'local' non league side......Morecambe!!!!!! I was quite frankly disgusted!!

To be fair Peel Parker, As far as I know, since the unfortunate circumstances of the dismissal of Mr Cottier, Radio Lancs have still to find a replacement so no-one from Radio Lancs goes to the Stanley games atm...

Re: Stevenage V Stanley

Absolute popycock hornblower!!!!!!! If they were so concerned about their coverage why don't they put a post on the stanley website for a temporary cover. This guy today was full of the 'Dave Brown' and 'Paul Mullins'. I just find it frustrating that our so called local station have a cardboard cutout covering our games. Would that ever happen to Morecambe's..............???????

Re: Stevenage V Stanley

And to be honest we were and are above them in the league and where playing a much bigger game...

People are howling with laughter about your comments about the lack of coverage from Radio Accrington. From where we stand it's the complete opposite.

Must congratulate you on the amount of coverage you get on Ceefax!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's this about Mr.Cottier? News to me.

Absolutely amazing that anyone from Accrington thinks Morecambe get a better deal from Radio East Lancashire !!
You have Ian McGarry the self confessed Accrington rent boy sticking up for you every week.
What did happen to Adam Cottier?
And where is that girl that used to report on Radio Lancashire for you.

Obviously our forums are a sight better then yours as you seem to spend more time on here. Nothing to talk about in Morecambe then?

Re: Stevenage V Stanley

From Radio Lancs point of view they get stick from both sides re: coverage. Morecambe shouting how stanley get better coverage and visaversa so it seems radio lancs are damned if they do and damned if they don't.....

And no I don't work for them it was a comment made by the editor of radio lancs!!!
