Was that one of the pillocks that decided to invade the pitch when they equalised by any chance??? Shows how much it meant to them to score against the mighty Stanley eh? Didnt count for squat in the end though did it?

Thought the stewards did a sterling job today. Pity the ref couldn't have done the same, what a ******. He never had control of that game from the first whistle to the last- and how on earth did the Drogba lookalke Donaldson stay on that pitch. Great to see a good crowd at the IES and if York did bring 800, still means nearly 1400 turned up from Accy and district. Lets keep it up for the rest of the season, BTW what a match, why can't we play that way all the time, even if we were under pressure, Darren did not have too many saves to make, unlike Porter in the York goal.

Match report is now on the official site. I'd have had it on earlier but my connection went down. :(

I thought we played ok today and the young lad from Wigan (Edwards was it?) really looks the part. I don't think he's centre-half though is he? He is quality though.

Philip Edwards was given motm today but all the lads worked hard as a team and deserved the win. Really pleased Mully scored. Unfortunate that the York fans couldn't behave themselves (2 pitch invasions - I ask you) The stewards did a brilliant job though, I believe the one who was arrested was mouthing off to the police as he had done to the Stanley fans in the stand earlier in the match when the stewards had to escort him back into the York end. Still they were pretty quiet when they had to go home with nothing - which was all they deserved

danny ventre looks a real find to. He played so well and kept donaldson quiet, who again deserved to be sent off. Referee was awful! The york fans crossed the line to be honest. Its fine for supporters to support their side, singing and enjoy watching the game but there is a line where its acceptable and just plain stupid and dangerous for supporters well beings. To throw a bin onto the pitch because the opposition scored epitomises the behaviour of a minority of their fans.

Why is it that I miss the high drama at the matches I go to or was it because it was the Tykes that were visiting. Mind you did enjoy last weeks match even if it ended in a draw even managed to avoid falling over the barrier.

York fans were a disgrace. To start with they were awesome, big numbers big noise - I was stood 25 foot from the Ultras but could not hear them for the noise York made (the wind was in their favour though). But, from half-time onwards they were disgraceful, I know it wasn't all of them, but the better behaved fans should move away from the dickheads so that police, stewards and thug/bouncer/stewards can identify EXACTLY who the nonces are. And by the way Zayno - ASFC have their own history of bin throwing and that was only for offside! (Staylbridge FA CUP JR?)

It's interesting to see from Kipax's photos who was standing where the trouble started amongst the York fans. There were little kids standing near the gate they used to get on the pitch. As usual a few spoilt what had until that point been good support from their fans.

Moving on, a great result for us.:)

I remember the bin throwing incident at Stalybridge, it was the 3rd qualifying round match, but I always thought it was thrown because the ref red-carded Jimmy Collins. I believe the person who threw the bin ended up in police cells!

Stanleybabe :)

I wondered how long it would be before someone mentioned the bin throwing incident at Staleybridge. What made it even funnier was that JR tried to hide in the crowd, but he stood out a mile because he was wearing an enormous top hat! :rofl38:

The person in question is a close relative of mine. He actually threw the bin twice. Once as a joke that the linesman's decision was 'rubbish', then to re-emphasise the point he threw it again. Being of the drunken variety that afternoon he threw it a bit harder..... missed Stanleys' first win at Bower Fold,

Were you singing though - if not , why not? It really annoys me that most fans on the Clayton end only ever raise their voices to abuse the ref. We need someone like Steve, the old Rovers mascot from the 50's, who used to parade in front of the Blackburn end with his 15 foot long scarf with everybody going .."1-2-3-4, who d'ya think we're shouting for..... R-O-V-E-R-S ROVERS" to get the crowd going. OK, not very cool by today's standards, but surely Jase can do something similar armed with his new electric voice. Probably get arrested these days, though.

i dont think the people who dont sing at the stanley games will ever sing....if they wanted to all they would have to do is to stand with the ultras! Maybe thats an idea though for all the singers to seperate and stand next to somebody who isnt see if they will sing as well ;-)
