Why is the game on a friday?
 

Can anyone enlighten me as to why the Accy v FGR game is on a friday evening? Its a 360 mile round-trip for us FGR fans, and wouldve been much better if it was played on a saturday afternoon like any normal game of football!

The club are experimenting with Friday night football in a bid to improve attendances. It is only done with the full permission of the visiting club and police so your lot have agreed to it.

As part of the deal, we also play you at your gaffe on a friday night and it will still be a 360 mile round trip.

okay....... I would have thought Saturday afternoon would be better for attendance figures. Be seeing you when you come to see us then.

Yes Mr Rover I am sure that Eric & Co argued & deliberated over whether Friday would affect the amount of FGR fans that travelled

15 on a Saturday down to 8 on a Friday night becuase of 360 miles.....

We have 2 roofs!!! There is the 'tin shed', kept specially for away supporters, and the nice new dry terrace for the rest of us. 2-1 to the Rovers on friday night. This is where the turnaround begins!! ;) :engsmil:

Stanley have two, what's your problem
We have only beaten them once on a Saturday, they have beaten us twice and there has been one draw.
Didn't Forest Green play Grays on a Friday night - 332 mile roung-trip for Grays fans.

Its an OLd Firm match this weekend so the clubs are trying to be certain of a good turn out I think. ;)

Any big games either side of the boarder will interfere with the gates of lower league and non league teams especially if on the telly.
