F.A.Trophy

I seem to remember Eric saying last week that it was worth £4.000 to beat Altrincham and get through to the next round.

Has anybody any idea how much it gets if they win the next round.

Thank You for the info. Very helpful.

Re: F.A.Trophy

that £4,000 will make up for the money lost on the awful attendance yesterday, very disappointing :(

maccawozzagod 18-12-2005 22:28

Re: F.A.Trophy

compare all the attendances for other conference clubs, all well down on usual crowds.

No disrespect but who are they?

Whalley Red 19-12-2005 10:32

Re: F.A.Trophy

Bottom of the Conference South league without a home win all season.

Basically, a trip to South London and the proverbial 'banana slip'.

Willie Miller 19-12-2005 10:43

Re: F.A.Trophy

So a trip to Surrey against a side bottom of Conf South. Crowds between 300 & 400 at their ground

I'm quite looking forward to that little adventure....:engsmil:

baldy 19-12-2005 10:54

Re: F.A.Trophy

Carshalton.

I dont wish to tempt fate, but they are bottom of the Southern Section of the Nationwide(Conference) having won just one game all season.

baldy 19-12-2005 14:19

Re: F.A.Trophy

That also Being an Away game.

Is That good or is it making the banana skin bigger

On Stanley On!

I think the players will have learned their lesson after the FA Cup exit at Worcester

zayno14 19-12-2005 15:43

Re: F.A.Trophy

not a bad draw, i agree with diesel that the lads have learned their lesson and i'm sure they will do the business down south and win a place in the 3rd round...

Learned there lesson? what lesson was this exactly?

Re: F.A.Trophy

There have been many seasons and many cup defeats by lower opposition. Why would they have only just learnt the lesson? Truth is there was no lesson to learn so try not to kid yourselves. Playing teams below you is hard work for any club. simple as.

A little pedantic maybe, they prob meant this group of players under this management team MAY have learned their lesson

Last seven games up to the FA Cup exit at Worcester:

Won 1; Drawn 2; Lost 4; Goals For 12; Goals Against 16.

The eight games since the FA Cup exit at Worcester:

Won 8; Drawn 0; Lost 0; Goals For 16; Goals Against 2.

There was a shake-up in the team with this FA Cup episode with Flynn going out on loan and now Welch is a regular, Ventre has been replaced by Edwards, and Boco has largely replaced Brown up front. With the results and the change in the way that the team has been playing, it seems to me that lessons from the Worcester disaster have been very firmly learnt!
