No More.....

Negativity on this forum. Times are good if you are an Accrington Stanley fan & we should use this forum to promote all that is good about the most famous Non League club in the UK!

Who cares if the people of Accrington are apathetic; when they do start to come we can all say we were there ALL season (& they will be queues again at the turnstiles of the IES if we carry on!)

Therefore, this thread is a list of why you love OUR club;

I'll start with listing the fans, who are man for man, woman for woman, child for child - the best!

There are some wonderful committed fans at this club & we should be proud. Nothing is too much trouble & there are never ever a shortage of volunteers & helpers both on match days & during the week.

From the first fans I met (Loweiy, Bubs, Plum etc) to the young kids on the terrace, to the programme sellers, stewards, photographer, tannoy man......etc etc

We should be proud!:engsmil: :engsmil: :engsmil: :engsmil:

It was the fans that got me hooked, as well as the rapport with the players, which made me feel like one of the family from my first Stanley match last April.:)

The atmosphere on the terraces (especially the Clayton End) when the lads are winning is absolutely magic. The whole place seems to be humming with excitement and, because it's your local club, it adds a special something to the whole experience that you could never find at Blackburn or Burnley.

Tha ammount of customers who tell me they could hear the roar of the crowd all round the extremities of the town. The best part is standing only a few feet away from that "noise" willing the players on to respond to the point of us being on the edge of league football. Even better when we can say at the end of the season, the one that will restore our rightful return to league football, "WE WERE THERE!"

Re: No More.....

To be honest there are SO many reasons why this is the best club in the land..

The ultras and the atmosphere especially away.
Lowieys classic comments to the oppossing team and fans,
The feeling that you are part of the club not just another customer,
The fact you can shake hands with the players and tell them how good they played,
The freedom my kids feel to stand with me, there mates or sit in the stands, all during the same game,
The FOOTBALL which even when it is not fantastic is always 100% commitment from our lads and management,
Coley going ape at the officials,

all in all :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

Re: No More.....

I started the season as an occasional Stanley fan who would come when Liverpool FC had no game. I had a part share in a season ticket at Anfield which I used at every opportunity. I turned up for the first Stanley game of the season and I haven't looked back since, I have been to every home game and I love it.
Even though I can't class myself as an Ultra I am a Ultra wannabee and even get called one at work where they used to call me scouser.
I love the fans, I love the footy and this year instead of Liverpool stuff in my stocking I've been dropping hints for Stanley goodies.

Standing in front of the white house in Washington DC with my Stanley shirt on and someone asking if they could have thier picture taken with me because of the shirt.
Having my shirt stolen in Bahrain and local cops finding it and asking if they could buy it off me.
Wearing my Stanley shirt at a Brazilian football match and after some coaxing having about 100 Brazilians sing "Come on Stanley, Come on Stanley"
:D:D:D:D

Re: No More.....

Nice one Bazf, that reminds me of my Bulgarian holiday in summer. Typical holiday first few days said hello but nothing else. Then decide that the pool needs brightening up with a 15ft Accrington Stanley ensign. Cue everyone chatting to us for the rest of the holiday including a mad family from Southern Ireland. Their 11 year olds football mad (they purchased at least 25 foreign football shirts) spent the rest of the holiday asking about ASFC. The highlight being at the pool party when they managed to get this drunk Russian woman to scream "Stanley are the Best!" & "Stanley for the Conference" even though she spoke no English!!!!!

What a night! In the pool fully clothed in my ASFC shirt!

Still look out for Waterford's results because of those nutters!
