Stanley/Carshalton Coverage?

Does anybody know if there’s any live coverage of today’s game? TV, Video or Radio….I was thinking about the sports bar, is anything going on there. Is it worth coming over?

Let’s be nice. If you think that Ref was bad you should see the Blind, Deaf and indifferent ball rubber we had for the <ST1:pHalifax</ST1:p game, However, you played a stronger game today and that a credit to your team unfortunately or fortunately in our case you were matched. It’s the luck of the game.

I think all our efforts will be on the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = " /><st1:City w:st="on">Cambridge </st1:City>game on Saturday and then we can attend to you and send you home with any doubts of who we are….

Re: Stanley/Carshalton Coverage?

It was a funny decision for the final free kick, and one I've never seen given before, but apparently it is one of the laws of the game. As the ball came to Bocos feet, he was in a lot of space, when one of the Carshalton players snydely shouted "MAN ON!!", Boco panicked, messed up, and a free kick was given. Still, very harsh though, and will probably never see a free kick awarded for the same thing EVER again.

zayno14 15-01-2006 09:06

Re: Stanley/Carshalton Coverage?

very sly from the opposition player :p

Diesel 15-01-2006 09:16

Re: Stanley/Carshalton Coverage?

Well, it was sly, but it is an old trick that players usually get away with. It's like when you played football at school and you'd get the idiots from the ooposition telling you to pass it to them, thinking they can get away with it cos nobodys got kits on

like I said on a previous thread, the smaller clubs love us, the bigger clubs hate us. Well done to the chairman Mr Driver, these sort of comments do not need to be said but he did.

Carshalton's fans were absolutely gutted after the match. They seem a decent bunch and they've a long journey on Tuesday so the least we can do is give them a very warm welcome to the IES.

Quite right, Mike ! Let's all get down there and show them our appreciation whilst, of course, giving the Stanley boys our most vociferous support.

I bet there'll be a great atmosphere, so Come On Down everybody (if the Price Is Right) and help ASFC with a few thousand quid to add to the £6,000 they'll get for winning the tie.
