today

obviously your travelling fans wont be back yet but it was a pleasure to meet you all, you've got a great bunch of fans, although pretty quiet. to be honest you got very lucky today but i suppose that's the beauty of the game. looking forward to tuesday, hoping i can make it, there should be a fair few of us making the journey all being well. credit also to your gaffer and keeper, great banter! cheers guys.

this Stanley fan was back indoors by 5.30. Well what can I say but - lucky ol' Stanley' ! Carshalton played out of their skins and if they keep it up surely will climb away from Conf Sth relegation zone. They scored first, albeit from a corner that never was (according to my Accy cousin who was down that end). After a masterful performance at Canvey last week, was I bothered ? - not a bit and after Ian Craney cracked in the equaliser I just hoped we wouldn't embarass our hosts. Comfortably in control for the rest of the half, without frightening their keeper too much. So at half-time I strolled round to behind the goal we would be attacking - wish I'd thought to take binoculars 'cos Carshalton dominated and all the play was up t'other end. Not that I could judge properly from behind their keeper - but the locals tell me that our keeper should have been sent off and a penalty awarded when he brought down their clean thru' striker. Fortunately the loose ball went to a home side player and from him into our net.So no action was taken re the pen/card.We had a few attacks (one needing a goal-line clearance) but I think Stanley fans were resigned to a justified defeat when in the last min one of their defenders was red carded for apparently giving Boco a call that he was marked when in fact he had acres in which to turn. The upshot was that Paul Mullin nodded home after the keeper parried a last shot in the dying seconds.Hard luck Robins. What a differance a week makes in Stanley's performance.

Elliot, Edwards, Rocky, Tretton, Liam, Cav, Barry (Mangan), Craney, Brown, Boco, Mullin.

I suspect the ref played advantage for their second goal. We were very fortunate to get a draw in the 94th minute. Apparently their player called 'Man on' when Boco was through and ended up getting a second yellow. Paul (who else?) was able to nod in after the resulting free kick.
