Worksop Town Trophy Game Plea
Please Eric, Rob, reduce the p.rice for the Worksop trophy game. It would be nice to have eight pounds 8.00 for adults three pounds for kids, and five pounds over eights to sixteen. We do not want to be playing Worksop in front of 5to 600 people. We would probably increase the gate to about 1000 plus. The bar takings would be up, and there would be a far better atmosphere on the ground, you would of course need to advertise the fact of the reduced admission prices. I would think it would be a superb gesture from the club to the loyal fans. I do not think that spectators will be prepared to pay 12.00 to watch Worksop Town, so do yourselves and the fans a huge favor please.:engsmil:

Re: Worksop Town Trophy Game Plea
hear hear, when we have a family to bring along as well full rate is too much. Publicity will also come from us regular fans promoting the reduced prices as a "come & have a look at your local team, stop at homers". Speculate to accumulate as wesay in business. RSVP

i dont see why they could reduce the price for the trophy game, even if its just a couple of pounds off.
makes a difference |
Re: Worksop Town Trophy Game Plea
I hope they do reduce the price, but I don't think they will. We are in the last 16 of the Non league's equivalent to the FA cup. I can't remember us ever doing well in the FA Trophy. I would happily pay £12 to see us progress to the last 8 regardless of who we are playing ( i hope that doesnt sound arrogant). I wouldn't be surprised if Worksop brought quite a few fans to the game. Is the final at Villa Park again this year? does anybody know? Not being presumptious, cocky or arrogant, just wondering.

Re: Worksop Town Trophy Game Plea
totally agree Tommy, there was a lot of posting when I suggested for the Ramsbottom game, they reduced the gate a bit but at the last minute and not by enough. About 250 turned up. I would think £8 would be enough for this game, but do Worksop not have to agree with it? I seem to remember Burnley wanted to do it for a league game a couple of years ago as part of a promotion drive in the town, but the opposition refused on the grounds of it being an excuse to push the gate up thus giving them an unfair advantage of a packed and partisan home crowd!
