Craney and Roberts in initial squad
Gary Roberts and Ian Craney have been selected in the initial squad for the England National Game XI European Challenge Trophy international against Italy at Cambridge United's Abbey Stadium on Wednesday 15th February.

Paul Fairclough's side will hope to build on their 2-0 victory in Belgium last month that leaves them top of the competition table, while the Italian side made up of players from Serie C will be looking to bounce back from their surprise 2-1 defeat in Holland.

The initial squad will be trimmed ahead of the game.

gary definatly deserves to be in the final squad along with ian, we're top of the league and only have 2 players in the squad.. Something doesn't add up there. Surely leam richardson, cav and a few others deserve a call up...

I hope they arnt the ones that get "trimmed" ahead of the game and they get a shot on the park.

ian started the last game so i doubt he will get the "trim", gary was not so fotunate but has got his head down and played wel week in week out and deserves to be in the final 16

Cavs been in the England squad before.. he hasnt been a regular this season..Only started 11 league games so he would be pushed to get a call up... Richardson too old

I will be going to this game no matter who is in... LaSt one I went to was England XI v Iraq.... haha what a night that was!
