it will always be the Crown. I might be wrong (I usually am) but isn't the 3 year contract for the naming rights up this year? Can't see Interlink pulling out with League football just around the corner but what if they are outbid? Will we become the Express Gifts Express Stadium?. I wouldn't want to end up with a cheesy name like the Kit Kat ground or owt like that.

What we really need is for the Royal family to sponsor it as The Crown ground. Although I don't like the idea of it changing name, all money into the club is good money. I just wish that somebody would put daft money on the table and buy the rights for a long time - or build us a new ground and name it.

I can’t be totally sure but historically I believe that it’s always been know as The Crown Ground. It’s certainly registered as such on the FA site.

Re: Stanleys Ground?

It is the Interlink Express Stadium and should be called so. A local businessman (Graham Charnley) has put the money up and helped the club when needed. Its money like this that allows the club to go forward. There is no way we can go up the league without money.

My point is that this guy puts his money where his mouth is and he is local.. so he should be backed by us the fans and we should use the name... I also know that he puts money into other areas of the club, He also puts his time in on just about every match day and is a true backer of the club. When at supporters club meetings he is always keen to put his hand up with offers to help out... For example he offered to foot the bill for a supporters club match at the IES and other things.

He did his bit so lets do ours and call it the Interlink Express Stadium and not make him feel like he is wasting his money.

Thats my personal opinion :)

Not going to argue with that. Interlink Express Stadium it is. Look forward to meeting the gentleman sometime. :)

That site looks a bit dodgy. They'll need to learn to spell Accrington properly before next season and to spell Lancashire with a capital 'L'!

...and Burton don't play at Eton Park any more!

Apart from that, Kipax hit the nail on the head. Graham deserves all the recognition we can give him.

I don't think anyone who still calls our ground the Crown is doing so out of any disrespect to Graham Charnley, we all appreciate the money and effort he puts in at the club, it's just when you've always been used to calling it the Crown ground it's a difficult habit to break.
