Alas it was inaccurate reporting, he was playing to get match fitness not to trial for them. If I remember correctly they were struggling to get a full team out so Mark turned out for them as it benefitted both parties.

Thanks for the responses, Sparky. From Alty's site it looks like he was due to play for their reserves against Burscough reserves but chose to play for us against Burscough's first team instead.

It was worth the entrance money for Coley's footwork in the edge of the box and his back pass that set up the last goal (but don't tell him 'cos it'll only go to his head).
