Season Tickets...
 

Well I was just thinking if anyone knows how the season tickets are going to go next season. I've had one for the last 4 years and they've gone up every year... it's getting ridiculous it'd be cheaper to get a rovers season ticket. Whalley has the nerve to say attendance is too low but with a premiership and a champion side 10 minutes drive away stanley need to lower their prices... as I said earlier its cheaper to get a rovers season ticket and that is what many people do.I guess for some reason most people would rather see the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool than the glory of Aldershot and Morecambe (WOW next seaon we might get to see BURY)
On top of being a similar pricee to a team 4 leagues above, there is no loyalty program which discourages people to renew their season tickets (something I will not be doing next season if the price rises yet again)

Anywho I've had my little rant, post your views.

I suppose it comes down to loyalty and pride in your hometown team on that point; and not seling out to corporate plastic football full of greasy haired diving dago idiots driving ferarris.

To see Stanley play against league clubs (not in cup comps but week in week out) would be priceless for me...

I agree with you fully on that Shaker:) ,and nowt wrong with Gigg Lane I'm there every other week watchin FC United:D .Its not a bad little ground.And as I've said in the past I wish Accy Stanley all the best for whats left of this season,and next which hopefully is League 2 football.:)

I have to say, if Rovers season tickets are cheaper than Stanley's then I would be amazed, I could have got season tickets for Wigan Athletic (which are the cheapest in the premiership and about 100 pounds more expensive than Stanley), however, I am Accrington born and bred and have supported the team prior to their resignation in '63 and since supported them on their reformation, however, to be fair, it was difficult to get to see them up until
'86 due to working away in such exciting places as Cyprus, Zimbabwe, Central America and Germany. It is about pride and pssion on wanting to see your hometown team do well and whatever the cost, it will be well worth it!!!
If you want to compare prices, £14 for the cheapest seat at Wigan - capacity 25,000 which sells out pretty quickly for the likes of Liverpool, Man Utd etc etc or £12 Stanley for the likes of Aldershot, Morecambe etc this season and possibly Blackpool, Wrexham etc and old boys returning e.g. Evil and Rory. No contest in my book

For a rovers season ticket in jack walker or darwin end under 16's are 85 quid, free for under 8's. These are the people who cannot have a full time job. Stanley's prices for under 17's are 120 quid and 40 quid for under 12's.

You can look at it this way - you're paying a little extra at Stanley yes; but what for? YOU are being actively part of a dream in action - a club with real ambition. Not like Rovers which is merely a business going nowhere...how very boring.
I went to Rovers home games in their League winning season....yet not one of those games had the atmosphere of a Stanley derby game, or any other for that matter.
Like I said, it all comes down to either paying a little extra for real, exciting football to be proud of....or paying less; just to be another number through the gate at Ewood.

agreed there mate, personally ive only been goin on the crown since the 1995-96 season however i was there playing like likes of bamber bridge getting hammerd 3-0 i think it was and relegation from the unibond Prem a couple of seasons later.

To see how far the cub has come over the last 10 years is remarkable and a credit to alot of people.

Hopefully a place in League 2 next season would make me proud to be born and bred from accy hehe:D, and wouldent mind paying the same price as rovers fans.

If you've had one for the last 4 years why the F%ck would you want to stop now? Just as the team is on to the biggest thing in Accy since Nobody can remember, you want to try and compare prices with scum rovers who were subsidized by a multi millionaire, either your trying to stir up the sh%t or you are having a go at Eric? which is it?

Samf, if you've had a season ticket for the last four years, you will know that next season's ticket prices are not released until after the end of the current season. Ask again in three months' time.

To me Blackburn rover's are a disgrace to the premier league,they will try anything to attract more fan's,but it does'nt work.There attendance's are very poor to say the least considering they are one of four teams to win the league, or should I say buy the league.If it wasn't for jack walker they would be in league 2 now averaging 4 or 5 thousand if they were lucky and be no bigger a team than wycombe wanderer's

It was around march last year I THINK, either march or april, which is only a few weeks away.

To the person who asked if I was stirring <censored> or having a go at Whalley, I guess it would be the latter however I meant it as more advice than critism. If you asked the people who went to the game last night, and only went to that one game this season, why they do not go more often, I would put money on that they would rather go to rovers or burnley. IT IS A FACT that attendance is bigger when rovers and burnley are playing away. For these people there is no competition, similar prices for a higher quality player.</censored>

Yes attendances do go up slightly when Rovers/Burnley are away but a lot of these people formed an allegiance to those two clubs when Stanley were not around or just reforming and still go for that reason. Personally there's no comparison - I've followed Stanley since I can remember but have attended a couple of Rovers games in the last few years, I was not impressed and know where I'd rather be. Oh and if we're dealing in facts - it is not £40 for an under 12's season ticket - it's actually £30 and worth every single penny

Fact - I bought my youngest son's season ticket for £30 - I still have the receipt, I remember there was a discount for buying them before a certain date and maybe I bought it then but it was definately £30

Yes, you probably bought it in March last year. However the price other than March 2005 is £40.

I used a search engine for the pics, which I now realise might well have been your images. If you wish for me to remove it then just ask. The feel free to use is simply its a stanley sig and this is a stanley site... I thought other people may want to use it.

No I was impressed and wondered if you could do one for the official accy stanley website. www.accringtonstanley.co.uk I make and run that with a little help from my friends on here :) it needs to be the size of the one already on there at top... and incorperate club badge of coure.....

Personally, I'm happy to take anybodys money for the good of the club. Including those that will insist on wearing other clubs colours, and those that moan at the players no matter how they're playing.
