Mad March

In the month of March we have 6 games

5 away games to
Crawley, Aldershot, Hereford, Southport and York

1 home game to
Stevenage

Thats gonna put the cat amongst the pidgeons surely?
I will be more than happy with 6 points on travels and 3 at home

9 points from 18 drops 9 points and only if Hereford win every game would that leave us 4 points clear with 6 games to go... But my 9 points is working on the safe side and I doubt Hereford will win all equivelant 6 games so the chances are we will be around 8 pts clear with 6 games left... thats what I think

What about you?

Re: Mad March

maybe a little cautious Mr K.......but makes sense.
i think 9 or 10 from the away games is feasible including three points at hereford.....no disrespect to them i just feel that they will HAVE to push forward to win and that will leave gaps at the back. defensively we have been very solid so think we are capable of absorbing the pressure.as things stand a draw there would suit us but is of no use to hereford.....cant see us getting any more than three points at home though:D
it will be an interesting month.....and i must remember not to go on holiday when we play three games down south in a week!!!doh!

In the month of March Hereford have six games
Four away games to Morecambe, Gravesend, Southport, Burton
Two home games to Stanley and Kidderminster

Hereford might end up with only 9 points from a possible 18

Halifax have four games
One game away to Cambridge
Three games at home to Gravesend, Exeter and Woking

Halifax can only get a maximum of 12 points

I think that we will be a minimum of 13 points in front at the end of March.

I think Hereford are going to drop 3 points on Saturday when they come to Christie.

Re: Mad March

I have no doubt that the gap will be shortened at some point, hopefully we can keep them at arms length

Hereford's games are as hard as ours....

Hopefully players, fans & Management can keep their nerve!!!!

Id love to see a home win, Plus maybe 2 away wins 2 draws and a loss at hereford.

Should see us up!

Re: Mad March

God, my brain is hurting with all this............
Just think, 'Que sera, sera', what will be, will be.......
And stay confident that we will keep winning, even when we play crap!!
Then they'll never catch up!!

Well Tony, thats the first 3 points, another 3 on Tuesday plus 6 from any of the other 4 games including at least 1 against Hereford although I fancy 3 - I think you may be being a bit pessimistic. Unfortunatel.y Morecambe didm't help us today, but maybe later in the season especially as they need results to stay in the play-offs

Re: Mad March

only 21 points required now

Re: Mad March

So Oggy - what does todays win mean? How many teams can we knock off now that are mathmatically impossible catching us? I cant be bothered to work it out but Im praying Alty are one of em :D

Re: Mad March

Nice to hear Aldershot fans are with us but can't see them being so generous on Tuesday - well done lads, another layer of my fingernails gone listening to the match but what the hell - we won again!!!

Outback Ozzy 05-03-2006 21:36

Re: Mad March

I think Jimbo that Aldershot are the lowest placed team that can mathematically overhaul us, but the 2 teams above them cannot and if we beat the Shots on Tuesday, then they will not be able to catch us either.

KIPAX 05-03-2006 22:09

Re: Mad March

Well I would have been happy with three points for the three away games this week. That would mean hereford would have to win 3 games just to gain 6 pts on us.. We got those 3 points now... so hereford have a uphill struggle over the next 3... Yet we still have shots away and them to play .... any points from those two games makes it even harder for them

A win or draw at Hereford and thats it for me.. I will start shouting it from the rooftops..... KIPAX League Photographer:)

When we attack teams that's when we are at our best.
It's when we sit back and defend we have problems.
So I feel that the game against you lot will suit us just fine.
Our defense is solid too, we've let in the goals when we have tried to sit back on one goal leads, and put our selfs under pressure for most of the game.
That's why i hope we don't get an early goal.
I feel very very confident that we will beat you, the pace in our side at the moment is increadable.
But i still believe the titles yours , unless you fall apart drastically.
If Aldershot beat you then i will start to believe we can catch you again.
