Re: Today's Game

Good to see Steve Jagielka back - even if it is on the bench, I think we have wobbled a bit without him. I don't particularly care if we are playing badly, as long as we win - even if it is a nervous win for manager and fans alike. Maybe though Gary Roberts has steadied the ship

all over now we can stop sweating - 1-0 to the super Stanley 10 away wins - even if they make us sweat has got to be championship form hasn't it? Still won't say we are up yet but the fat lady is getting ever closer

I'll kiss her backside when she starts singing.......How close do we have to get before we can relax. Either way these lads deserve the freedom of our Borough for what they’ve achieved up to now let alone promotion, I hope we’re in for one hell of a party......:) :)

Just a few drinks??? I hear Eric is going to patent Stanley valium before the next game! lol

LongLostSon 05-03-2006 12:20

Re: Today's Game

Well.either Crawley played out of their skins or the valium ration should start with Stanley. Had hoped for a sparkling champion-elect type performance agains a relegation threatened team. What we got was a packed midfield with them having more possession because their passing was far superior. If it weren't for that Roberts stunner we would have lost our scoring record because our attack was too deep and too slow.Solid defence but the freaky Stevenage away game showed how easy wheels can come off. C'mon Stanley - minimum 2 goals a game please. You had me kicking every ball on Saturday and I'm not on the wage bill !

What we got was 3 points - some folk aren't happy unless they're moaning.
