Drum

What is the point of trying to drown out other teams singing? Totally un-needed. I was expecting a great atmosphere but your drummer let that down. Go to music school or give it to someone else.

Congrats on your win tonight didnt think it was a 1-4 game though. Your scoring record continues!

Re: Drum

No sour grapes over here. Sorry. Yes we have drums but we dont play them every time some supporters of the other team try getting songs together. We play them to GET BEHIND OUR TEAM!

Re: Drum

In the exact way we do...we don't need conductor to tell us when it's our que to start!

And if you were singing loud enough, you would'nt have heard the drum...

I dont think that our drummer was particular trying to drown you out, but our fans try to maintain their own noise levels for the entire game. The drum is integral to that. I agree that the (or any) drum sounds crap from a distance and very untuneful. But, to the limited number of fans stood around it, it acts as a catalyst to the songs and makes you think that you are singing louder than you are and therefore you sing a bit more. A few Shots fans have tonight commented on your board that the Stanley fans were a credit but the drum was sh!t.

Re: Drum

i thought it just sounded like he was hitting a dustbin as load as he could. Dunno if was trying to drown us out, he would of been silly to have tried. Just as the fellar above says i think he was constantly banging to keep the accy fans singing.

No sour grapes hear boys. Well done on your win! Some poor defending from us and some clinical finishingfrom you was the difference today. Dont think either side played that great.

Good luck for the rest of the year.

It's been going on since the dawn of football time.

i remembe rthe good old days at Matlock, Farsley, Bootle etc when we only had the dustbins to bang. 'Til some old fool threw one the pitch one day, then bins were banged no more...........
