Not if programmes sell out. So if a game is expected to be a sell out will extra programmes be printed? I attend matches with my son so does that mean we now both have to buy a programme in order to be able to purchase tickets for these possible sell out games ?

this just sounds like another chance for accrington to "rip off" their loyal fans again and as kipax says increase programme sales.

No, we know that there are limited amounts of programmes that we can get printed and we know there is a possibility that they may sell out. If this is the case then there are the first come first served tickets which will be available even if the programmes sell out, it just staggers the amount of people buying the tickets. There will be three ways to do it. It may not even come to that we are just doing this for safety so everyone gets a chance to get tickets. We are trying to do it the fairest way! We are just given people, the loyal fans, a choice, it is up to you if you would like to buy a programme earlier, we are just trying to give fans the fairest way of getting the tickets BUT it may not even come to that! We know some fans like to get their tickets early if this is the case then buy a programme if not then just wait for the first come first served tickets to come out. Hope that helps.

To be honest...

If theres a game thats all ticket.....You would have to be a complete and utter moron not to be able to get tickets for it if your a stanley fan. Five thousand tickets between Two thousand of us.. then the bandwaggoners on top.. I am sure the real stanley fans will manage it :)

I dont like the buy a program idea... But then again I havent got a better idea.... Premiership clubs and football in general have been trying to come up with a perfect ticket allocation plan for years and they havent managed it so I wouldnt expect Karen to do it in the week since the subject was raised on here.. She read the request and this is the plan. Thats better than her ignoring the request for a plan.....isn't it?

There is never going to be a 100% fair way to do this really. If you sell one ticket for the last few home games, not everybody is going to be able to afford it, including some of the very loyal supporters. If you put the vouchers in the programmes, not everybodies going to be able to get one. The Club is trying to think of a solution, and I for one, applaud that

Why not print some vouchers? You would easily get 8 - 10 on an A4 sheet, so a ream would cover a capacity crowd. Hand the vouchers out at the turnstiles as spectators pay. This voucher to be presented as proof of attendance should the club feel it necessary to make any future matches all ticket. This would prevent any problems should programmes run out also fans who didn't wish to buy a programme wouldn't have to.

I have to agree that the matter of the club listening and Karen attempting to meet fans expectations should be applauded, at least the club is communicating and thinking ahead to cover the eventualities.

I always buy a programme as a matter of course and Saturday will be no exception, however I make the effort to get there early just to make sure, failing that I’ll resort to bribery. If and it’s a big if, I can’t use it on the occasion of a sell out game I’ll pass it on to someone deserving who didn’t get one.

Will it be printed again or is it in THIS weeks only?
If its just this week I have 2 options
1. Buy 2 programmes so I can get 2 vouchers to be enabled to buy 2 tickets
2. Buy the usual 1 program and get 1 voucher, that will mean I have to queue up with the voucher to buy a ticket, then queue up again for the 2nd ticket when they go on sale and risk not getting the 2nd one, 1 young lad is going to be gutted if that happens :)

Sod it, I aint buying 2 programs for the same game and as 1 voucher will be no use to me I wont buy one this week at all, at least that will give someone else a chance to get one of the 350 available :)
Edit- just thinking about this, how many season ticket holders are there?
Lets say 250, if they all get a program they all get vouchers that they dont need, not leaving a lot is it :)

Got to be honest KSH I have a season ticket & buy a programme every home game too, but not purely to stop others from getting their hands on tickets as I would love to see a capacity crowd as much as Eric & the players would. What Karen needs are genuine suggestions around the problem rather than bickering about paying £2 for a programme. My tuppenceworth is issue a ticket on the day that shows the game it was issued for given to fans as they pay on the turnstile, doesnt affect season ticket holders as we are guaranteed an allocation, produce the ticket as proof to get entry should there be a sell out on pre match sales. Halifax, Morecambe etc already give entry tickets & have done for some time so cant be impossible. Programmes are rarely left but this one I hope covers all angles to satisfy the loyal Stanley fans.

Lets have it right, everyone who wants a ticket will get one, no way will the ground sell out.

Just to humour that potential scenario for a moment though, whilst agreeing that season ticket holders are given priority to purchase extra tickets, why is everyone who passes through the turnstile not just handed a voucher of some sort???

Anyone who suggests that this is anything more than a ploy to sell more programmes is naive at best but more likely completely stupid.

I prefer to call a spade something other than a long handled digging imploment!!!
