Does anyone have the DEFINITE answer on this one...

My maths says that Stanley will win the league on Saturday IF:

- Stanley beat FGR on Friday and Hereford lose or draw to D&R

- Stanley draw with FGR on Friday and Hereford lose to D&R

If Stanley LOSE to FGR then it goes to the Woking game even if Hereford lose to D&R - unless both teams lose on Sat 14 Apr in which case it goes to Scarborough game... ?

Is the above correct or completely wrong !!

Yes but Stanley only need 1 point on Friday and the league is won on Saturday if Hereford lose... I'm just trying to work out what situations will make Saturday's Hereford game not the the game that decides the Championship as it would be nice to win it when Stanley are actually playing!

We need 4 points, and every point that Hereford drop is a point we no longer need (hence the drop from 6 to 4 tonight)

Essentially, you are right. A win at FGR would mean Hereford can only equal Stanley's total at very best, and so if they dropped any subsequent points then the title would be guaranteed.

with hereford drawing tonight sttanerleeee need 4 points thus meaning they can actually be crowned champions even without kicking a ball but they would have to get 3 punts on fri and hereford drawin or losin on sat ......courtisy of the LET :D

Courtesy of who? I have been predicting for weeks now that we will win the league on April 8th when Hereford play Dagenham. weeks i tell tha.. weeks! :)

All the combinations were in tonight's Telegraph.

After tonight's result I'm still confused, but am still hoping we eventually clinch it at home on Easter Monday.:)

So how many people are doing a double header of Forest Green on Friday then Hereford on Saturday seeing as it could well be won at Hereford.

I'm not going to be able to get to Forest Green in time for the match, but I am coming down anyway to go to Hereford instead on the Saturday!

If we win at FGR, Hereford can draw on Saturday, and we still get the title - they don't even have to lose.

Sorry - just realised this has already been said...it's the excitement!

If we draw at FGR and hereford lose we get the title.

We can win or draw and stilll get the title the next day depending on Hereford

Currently we are 12 points clear and after this weekend theres only 12 points to play for. If Hereford and accy get same result this weekend (both win or both lose) then we would ahve to lose the next 4 games and hereford win the next 4 and pass our GD to take the title from us..

I heard a rumour that all things being well, the trophy will be presented at the Scarborough game. As there will already be a decent crowd on that day, would`nt it be better to wait until the Tamworth game, last home match of the season, nothing to play for and all that, to boost the crowd. Oh and I`ll be back from my hols then!!
