Re: Next seasons prices released
Season ticket prices are in Observer as well.
A one pound increase for the terraces seems more than fair, thank you.:) |
Re: Next seasons prices released
Thats not as bad as i thought, i know there was a £2 increase from last season to this (even though it stayed at a tenner for a few years) so thought it could be the same increase this season, i can live with that.

Re: Next seasons prices released
will just about get away with that.

Re: Next seasons prices released

Re: Next seasons prices released
I think the club has to do a juggling actlet me explain,
1,some news items to be given to the papers in return the odd favour in return 2, keep lots of the news on the website to keep the website sponsors happy. it's a win win situation mate Loweiy |
Re: Next seasons prices released
exactly where have you seen news on the website before it hits the telegraph/observer or bbc website ??? name me one in the last month.
all seems to be 1) and not 2) ... I mean even the cook testimonial was in the telegraph a week before the website and as i dont get the telegraph then...... And the stewards told me about the rossendale fixture... so i will agree with what your "telling me" if you can back it up with one news story the website got fist in the last month... |

When you put the work and effort in and then get bypassed for the papers its not good news at all.. I have never been happy at the website being second and never will be... sorry but i aint rolling over and playing dead just because we got promoted.. thats a poor excuse not to want the best. |
Re: Next seasons prices released
what I mean is that all the Stanley News at the mo is GOOD.
As for the website you may want it to be first with all news but as long as everybody gets to know stuff then it's OK by me. but then again it is your baby so I can see why you are p@ssed off but chill it's all good news and nobody wants you dead Loweiy |

Re: Next seasons prices released
Last season we won Webiste of the Year, it should act as though it is and that means content should be updated when it is known. Same with everything that comes from the Club, it is already rumour before it is confirmed because they sit on the info. This is why people get p!55ed off with them.
I love my club whether we win or lose, and that entitles me to gripe even when we win the damn league. Let the media get their news from the website. A lot of people don't have the Internet and those that do don't check the site every day anyway, so the paper will still have their exclusive for the couple of thousand people that care. |
Re: Next seasons prices released
Nobody that follows Stanley goes to the Official Website first for news.
Nuff said. |
Re: Next seasons prices released
Next season's prices, not unexpected, probably roughly in line with league rivals, although there does seem to be a generous discount for "early bird" tickets with several clubs. Also much better terms for "concessions" at many clubs, e.g. Notts County away, for a family, would probably recoup the petrol money.
Hard to compare "uncovered standing", as only Barnet seem to offer such a service @ £11. Slightly dissapointed with the new structure, and could be a season of away matches only for me.:( I think £15 seated, £10 standing would have been an adventurous, and in the long term, more rewarding structure. (OK £12, but you know what I mean) Really torn on this, but on balance think the £1 increase is a rip off. On the other hand you have to pay for quality. On the third hand, £12 would have secured Stanley a season ticket. |

Re: Next seasons prices released
Although I agree that prices are a bit steep to watch a game in what is essentially the 4th tier of English football, this is the way football is going. The game is becoming more and more money orientated, as the costs of running a successful club spiral.
Plus Stanley's prices still represent a significant amount less then their League 2 rivals. Clubs such as Bury and Lincoln frequently charge £16-17 and upwards to watch a game. As a club we are caught in a catch 22 situation. The club have to have funds enough to compete, without charging amounts that can isolate suppoeters. I firmly believe that if it was economically feasible to let fans in for less then the club would do so. In short, it's part and parcel of the game. Sit back and enjoy what you're paying for. |

Re: Next seasons prices released
Is the news on the official site now? What are the season ticket prices?
|
Re: Next seasons prices released
I live in Bury, dont get the accy observer, rely on the website for news and the BBC. I too was wondering about season ticket prices.. Got on the accy observer website but cant find it.
|
Re: Next seasons prices released
you could order the Accrington Observer through your local newsagent. It is made by the same group that does M.E.N. and Rochdale Oberver amongst others.
|
Re: Next seasons prices released
I don't want to buy the Observer. I expect to be able to read about pricing on the official website, as you can do for most other clubs. How very 'unproper'!!!

Re: Next seasons prices released

Re: Next seasons prices released

Re: Next seasons prices released
Last season's season ticket holders were allowed to buy a season ticket for the coming season at last season's prices. With the new price structure where will their new season ticket be for, the stand or the terrace, or as it was last season - where ever they want. If all last season's season ticket holders who have renewed at last season's prices decided that they want to sit down, that won't leave a lot of season tickets for open sale. Realistically the Club do not know how many season tickets they have available for open sale. Seems a strange situation to me.

I have asked the Club the question and received the following reply

As for prices, still think club have missed a trick. Notts County v Bury was available @ £10 last saturday, seated and covered. On a quick survey of other grounds, at least 9 offer cheaper minimums, and apart from Barnet these are all seated and covered; Bury is £14 for away fans, seated behind goal. Everybody who's already hooked on Stanley won't really mind the increase, but I'm finding it harder to get the uncommitted to come along. We'll see how it goes I suppose. |
