How will Accrington do next season?
I think you'll go straight back down myself!
What do you lot think? |
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
Sorry but my crystal ball isn't working

Re: How will Accrington do next season?

Re: How will Accrington do next season?
you're right we will!
|
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
How do you really expect to do next season?
And as an aside, how come there seems to be no Accrington fans on League 2 boards? Thought one or two of you may have jumped to the other side by now? Get yerself onto www.leagueportal.co.uk, the league 2 board has no Accy fans. |
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
actually there's a few of us on eg. deisel so shut up ya muppet
|
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
Calm down Nickleson
|
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
soory but i have had look on 'league portal' and all he basicly does is comments on other teams not his own
|
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
Which is why you need representing on League boards surely? So you can comment on your own team rather than others doing it for you?

Re: How will Accrington do next season?
I think we will walk league 2; well why not? Most of the teams don't start playing till April anyway, their only point of existence is to be in the relegation dogfights each year.
...Either that or we'll get shat on. |

I think Accrington Stanley will finish in the top half of the table in a season of consolidation - then will be promoted within the next two or three years ! :D :D :D My tips for going down would be Barnet and Stockport, as Torquay escape every year (and besides, I want a nice weekend away at Torquay, so they mustn't go down !!! lol) :) |
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
I believe that truely nobody can predict what is going to happen. People are getting more and more expectant, with talks of emulating Carlisle and all that. But I think now we are in the league success will become harder to come by. Theres only 3 promotions Stanley can ever get now remeber..... I believe we will finish mid-table, but like I say you cant say. On one hand we could do a Carlisle, or we could be another Rochdale and spend 30 years in this league(hope not!!!). Whatever happens, we will enjoy the season, knowing that every man who pulls on an Accrington shirt will give 110%.
|
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
For every Carlisle and Doncaster there is a Barnet, Shrewsbury or Chester, struggling in the bottom 6 after promotion.
I can't see you going straight up, but like you say, its a difficult League to predict! I'd be surprised if you are top half though, your immediate aim should be to retain League status after having waited 44 years to get it back. |
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
On the subject of Darlington, do you not find the atmosphere poor in your 25000 capacity stadium with all the empty seats?
PS: This is not a jibe or criticism, just an honest question as I believe it might be a struggle to make noise. Plus Darlo have good crowds for league 2, it just doesn't look like it with the ground. |

Re: How will Accrington do next season?
And how many supporters do you think you'll bring to the Fraser Eagle Stadium?
|
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
Depends on what time of the year, how we are doing etc.
Say if its mid season and we aren't doing well, probably 4-500. First game of the season 1,000+. |
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
I think we will be celebrating at the end of next season..... celebrating a close finish in the relegation zone and JUST managing to stay in the league
and that will do me nicely :) |
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
anywhere above the relegation zone will do :D
|
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
If we emulate what we did in the Conference- then I for one will be perfectly happy. 2 years at 10th and then auto promotion as champs. Never mind Carlisle, lets emulate Wigan and at least I can shut my family up then!
|
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
Are you bored of the Carlisle message board Quakerz? I've not seen you on there for a bit.
|
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
I have to agree with Kipax i think the first season is going to be a struggle, but i think (na Hope) we will manage to stay up, but like already said its nearly impossible to predict what will happen over the season, so as long as we dont go down and play the best we can then i for one will enjoy the forthcoming season.
|
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
I think a mid table finish for a couple of season's will do me fine
|
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
It's impossible to predict how we will do next season and that's half of the excitement of going into a new league, I for one will just enjoy playing against new teams and visiting new grounds and I'll be happy if we just hold our own and stay up in the first season
|
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
And its impossible to say how we will do BEFORE the summer's coming's and going's
|
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
i watched playoff matches in league 2 pretty woeful and has been same all season with teams i have seen only on tv some of these boys are lucky to kick straight let alone combine a one two. A few good signings will see stanley easily mid table finish. positive thinking:engsmil: :engsmil: :engsmil: :engsmil:

Re: How will Accrington do next season?
you will do ok next season ,its the one after that will tell, youv'e a small fanbase and will be buggered unless you have a sugar daddy, transfer fees etc .Our man gt has operated on nil finance for years so we ar used to it ,can you cope?

Re: How will Accrington do next season?
In response to that Darlo fan, Darlo are a good side and yes ACCY ARE going to have trouble next year lots and lots, the football league is so much better than the conference, a lot better football with a lot better players
|
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
accyred&blue I agree
|
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
Problems ?
What sort of problems do you mean, is it the quality barrier, or is it the fact of this small fanbase crap I dont know if any of you people who come on here have noticed, but Accrington IS a small town, there is nothing anyone can do to change it that's the fact But Hereford is a pretty big place, and normally, if you live in these towns/cities you can get more people on the terraces We managed last season, we have a quality team (showed last season) and also we had one of the most colourfull fanbase's, who provide all the noise on our terraces last year, and the year before, and the year before that etc ....... So just let time tell, lets just see who Coley brings in, and see if we can get the squad to make an assualt on the Football League next season !!! |
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
you will struggle if you don't get bums on seats ,dunno how you will manage it to be frank too many big sides in your cachment area ,its a ferkin shame ,whereas we at shedgar street will do just fine being in the middle of nowhere.

Duh ... your plan seems a little flawed sonny :) |
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
i think stanley will be mid table need a couple of strikers for cover because its more physical in the second div :)
|
Re: How will Accrington do next season?
:engsmil:true you did do better than every other conference club ,but unless you have a sugar daddy to bankroll you ,you will need Fans bums on seats to pay your way ,wimbledon are a prime example .what they they achieved in a very short period of time was amazing then they fizzled out with crowds of 13,000 in the prem it was no wonder .
turner says that he wants to achieve championship with HEREFORD ,unless he gets some serious money backers NO CHANCE,similarly with accy its common sense mate |
