Re: Craney and Roberts make final squad
Good stuff, but i can't understand why they have been chosen for this (along with Andy Bishop) when they have moved into the Football League ....
Surley this is there last chance to play for England X11, right ? |
Re: Craney and Roberts make final squad
The game is being played this season. We are still officially in the conference until the new season starts.. or somewhere inbetween.
Yes last chance... shame for Paul Mullin who really has had his last chance. he pulled out of the squad because he leaves for holiday on last day of tournament... he also wants to give his neck time.. he says its still a very slight problem. How old is he? 32 maybe? How long has Paul got to play at league level? |
Re: Craney and Roberts make final squad
With these niggling injuries, maybe another 1/2 seasons at League level, if we was still in the Conf, then maybe 2/3
I still belive we need to take another striker along with us to League 2 though |
Re: Craney and Roberts make final squad
Paul will carry on going until he feels he has nothing left to offer the club. One things for sure, he will not try and squeeze new deals out of the club if he feels he isn't up to it. Maybe he will give it up soon. Or on the other hand, look at Peter Beagrie and David Eyres, still doing the business at 40 and 41 respectively. I hope he goes on for as long as possible, as you know every time he plays, Mullers will give his all.
Unlucky Mullers, and enjoy your holiday :D |

Im not saying that Mullin is in the "over the hill stage"; far from it. How many goals he scores per season shows that.
But i AM saying, that we should bring in a top quality striker to "back up" our main man, yeah, we have Browner and Mango, but it would be nice to just have another proven goalscorer |
