Rob Elliot

Just seen on Sky Sports News, Robbie Elliot has signed a two year deal at Charlton. Wonder how this will effect Coley's attempt to sign him on a season long loan deal.I suppose it depends on how Charlton see it ,would they prefer Rob to be getting first team football, than really doing nothing but training. They of course still have Darren Randolf as back up to their two senior keepers. Hope we can sign him again,as we will also need a reseve keeper as well, with releasing Danny.

Echo all the above, but teletext has it that there is a glut of young keepers being released by other clubs, as well as some strikers, midfielders and defenders, wonder if this is the market that Coley and Co are looking at to keep costs down. Please Charlton, can we keep Rob for another season?

oh no :(, why has he signed for Charlton when he surely knows we want him & least he will be 1st team player here rather than at Charlton:confused:

Because Charlton are a premiership team, offering better wages, better facilitys, and knowing that he can come on loan here if Charlton, Stanley and him want to :)

Rob has just been on Radio Lancashire (speaking from his hols in Zante apparently) and was saying how much he enjoyed it at Stanley and it would mean a lot to him to come back to us if he can't get first team football at Charlton - so fingers crossed he could be back next season on loan
