Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
As our tannoy system has been improved dramatically since last season i thought it would be good if we had like a song for the player to runout to and one for when we score, what does everyone else think?...
Me and a few others thought that we could run out to the Boys are back in town and if we score then Song 2 by Blur could be played.I think that would sound pretty good... |
Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
dont like a song when we score, but dont mind one as we run out
|
Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
NO MUSIC WHEN WE SCORE!!!
It's so friggin taccy!! Run out to I Predict A Riot or I Am The Resurrection |
Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
....or Club Foot by Kasabian
|
Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
I like I am the Resurrection purely for the fact that we are the resurrection
but I am sure we can find something a bit more rabble rousing. |
Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...

Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...

or just for Jase - Sherrif Fatman by Carter USM ;) |
Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
Or how abouts;
The Impossible Dream by Carter USM? To fight, when your arms are too weary |
Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
I've already told you. You ARE NOT GOING DOWN. Am I the ony one who believes? Hard league this year. Harder than the Conference, and that's bad enough. I hope you beat Stockport, they were not that pleasant to us. Burton, Accy and Northwich were. I hope we were good hosts in the Conference, I was surprised we got out, we were very, very, lucky. Great season though, I've always enjoyed the north of England.

Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
Nobody thinks we are going down mate

Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
How about "The Ecstacy of Gold" from the Good the Bad and the Ugly soundtrack. It's what Metallica used to use before they came onstage and it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
Swords of a Thousand Men also an excellent choice. Boys are back in town is good but has been done by too many others before us and the Stone Roses are just too much like music to shop to. |

or ac/dc highway to hell

Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
Good to hear that the PA system is much better now - due to new speakers being installed right round the ground - I won't need to shout as loud now!!
"Swords of a thousand men", by Tenpole Tudor, was played as the teams ran out for the majority of last season, and seemed to be a popular choice. I think "The impossible dream" (Andy Williams) is now after the event of gaining league status - greatfor the last few games last season, but a bit slow for a regular basis. I also think "Amarillo" has now become a bit cheesy, and has been done to death. I would personally stick with "Swords.....", but am open to other ideas. |
Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
I think ****in' in the Bushes by Oasis would be a great way to get the tempo going.
Give it a listen; it's an instrumental & a bit like a Led Zep tune. |

Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
Over here, the WARRIORS(rugby league) have at times run on to the song 'Walking In Lights' by an old(70-80s) NZ group 'The Dudes'. Its a real pumpa. Can't give you a link to hear it as I'm no good with that kinda thing.Worth a listen though.

Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
We should come out to Out of the Frying Pan (and into the Fire) by Meatloaf.

|
Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
Has this been decided yet?
PS: We should let the away team come out first to the tune of "Send In The Clowns".:p |
Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
yeah either that or the muppets theme tune!!!
|
Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
I had a word with Rob on Wednesday morning, and asked him if he could find out if the Coley & the team had any preference - hasn't got back to me yet.
I have listened to all the ideas, and I must say, I do like Sparkie's choice of Meatloaf. Any other ideas |

Hows about The Boys Are Back In Town by Thin Lizzie?

Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
Just dont play anything when we score as the title of the thread suggests. Nothing kills off the atmosphere quicker.. fans want to celebrate a goal and sing.. not be drowned out by a cheap ditty... its an atmosphere killer... what are you thinking of zaynor?
|
Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
Ring of Fire- Johnny Cash
I Belive in miracles - The Ramones I'd say just to run ot to though, music after goals is just really poor. Also, I think editing the song beforehand might be a good idea, as most songs are slow starters, so starting the song at the Chorus would probably sound much better imo |
Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
The theme from the A-Team....minus the talking bit at the beginning.
|
Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
Oh, another one just popped ito my head;
Gabrielle -Dreams Can Come True |
Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
Maybe we could find a decent track by that band named Accrington Stanley;)

Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
Heres my own personal view, after giving it a bit of thought.
I don't want a cheesy jingle, I want a roaring anthem. I don't want a dreary song that merely plays in the background, I want something that inspires the players as they run onto the pitch and stirs the passion of the crowd. I don't want to see the crowd stood around talking, I want to see and hear Liverpool like scenes with everybody singing, full of passion and pride. I don't want one line from the whole song relating to us, I want every word, every line, every chorus to stir the emotions. I don't want the same song that every Tom, Dick and Harry Club the length and breadth of the Country plays, I want a song for us, and only us. I don't want Thin Lizzies Boys are back in Town, I want Carter USMs Impossible Dream! Whos with me? |

Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
I think that before a song to run out to is decided, the PA system must be sorted so that the song can actually be heard all around the ground when a large crowd is on!
It's really annoying when I Am The Resurrection or Champagne Supernova is on & you can't hear it! |
Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
yeah I noticed last night that the pa system wasn't working at all well in the seated stand. however it seemed to be okay everywhere else

And Baldy, Carter USM have done a version of Impossible Dream, as have a million other artists. The song was originally worte for a play called La Mancha. It's much more upbeat than Andy Williams, a little quicker, but it's the final leg of the song that is absolutely fantastic. Me, Maccawozzagod and Willie Miller 'sang' it at FGR, all the way through :p I think Spud may have been involved in that too |
Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
Am I missing something here, but I find "The Impossible Dream" by Carter USM to be very slow and not at all rousing! On Wednesday I played Sparkie's choice "Out of The Frying Pan" by Meatloaf, and thought it sounded superb - what does anyone else think?
Perhaps the final choice should be with Coley and the Team, after all it is their match. |

Its not Coleys or the teams match at all.. its the poeple who pay them.. My opinion :) |
Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
Andy Williams' Impossible Dream is very slow and sang as 'crooned'.
Carters' is a bit more shouty and faster when it gets to the chorus. I think that anything loud that reaches crescendo is a good choice. But, the reason why The Ultras want to have an input into the final song or two is because it is they who are trying to get up for it and reach that high that certain songs give you. The people who sing will usually have a penchant for more cultish types of song rather than Meatloaf type songs (nowt wrong wi' owd Meaty though) I'm with Diesel on the atmosphere building though. It should be that loud that you can't hear yourself talking and have no option but to sing. Of course, it means nothing without a roof. |
Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
The version I gave you Tannoy Man, was Andy Williams, nothing close to Carter USM Style of Music. As for the speed of the song, does that matter? I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles and You'll Never Walk Alone are hardly fast tempo, but Christ, they go down a storm with their respective Clubs. Fair enough, Meat Loaf or Thin Lizzy may sound great when the team runs out, but the lyrics mean jack to our Club, and hundreds of Clubs play the same songs. We should have our very own song, one that people will associate with us. This is my own personal though on the matter. Carter USM's 'Impossible Dream' may or may not catch on with the fans, but I'd bet my right nut it'd stand more chance of making an impact on the fans than 'Boys are back in town' or owt else for that matter.

Re: Music to Run Out to and When we Score...
