Pre-Season Friendlies

In the Non League Paper yesterday it stated that Stanley are playing Bootle to open their new ground on Saturday 15th July, but there is nothing on the Official Site. So we don not know if we are playing Alsager on Wednesday and we do not know if we are playing Bootle on Saturday. Not much time to make arrangements if these two games are going ahead.

Does anyone actually know what is going on ???

I mean, if was actually was playing these teams, surely the club would have contacted to the Official Site administrator ....

Re: Pre-Season Friendlies

I see that they have now spelled FRIENDLIES correctly, not as spelled on the front of Saturday's programme - FRIENDLY'S

Talking of Saturday's programme, I'm sure it said that Elliot had signed on for a year with us...so why's it not on the official site?

I agree with you totally Kipax - there definitely seems to have been a breakdown in communications somewhere along the line at the Stanley end of operations sadly. The Alsager match has been in the offing for many weeks and I know that the initial delay was due to the need for a date to be finalised - but that actually happened several weeks ago and John Brown at Alsager has worked very hard indeed to make the evening a success.

I will definitely be at Alsager - hope I am not the sole Stanley supporter there !!! :(
