what does anyone think about friendlies should they be free or do you think it is right that we should pay .Mainly because most off the team picked is either reservists or people on trial :confused:

If your boss asked you to turn in on a Saturday afternoon for nothing would you? It all goes to help the running of the club & most first halfs have included mostly first team members. Likewise when & how is Coley going to be able to whittle the list of trialists down without seeing them react with the main team in a full game outside of a league game. Training ground time is not enough on its own. The games are not charged at full rate anyway.

al your answering a question not asked.. he didnt suggest no friendlies only that ...should they be free... I can see why he would ask that.. but he misses the point that it costs money to put a game on and as such there has to be a charge... Also people only go to watch them because they want to.. so they pay for that privalege..

League Two outfit Wrexham expect to come out of administration in the next 24 hours and have thanked Liverpool for their part in keeping them afloat.
The Dragons have played the Premiership giants twice in pre-season friendlies over the past two seasons and all the proceeds of the encounters have gone to Wrexham. The Racecourse Ground outfit picked up £100,000 from Saturday's clash and now a new consortium headed by former director Neville Dickens and Chester businessman Geoff Moss expect to secure the club from administrators.

Can you tell me if Bootle and Alsager charged admission fees( and if so how much)? I realise Alsager was also a fundraiser,but for all I know they may've walked around the ground with a blanket.

Alsager charged £5, and Bootle charged £2
