Welcome Back

I really dont know how many of you will travel down for the game but there should be a decent gate as there is a lot of intrest in chester with you lot being our first game.
Dont think it will sell out as a lot of people are away on there holls at the mo due to all the local factorys shutting down for three weeks.
Still I think around 4300 to 4700 would be good.
People arriving on the train well you have one hell of a walk but a nice one with loads of pubs on the way to the ground if you walk via the city go the other way and its a bit sparse.
If your driving then leave your car over the other side of sealand rd the area around Mac donalds is the best or your stay in chester will be along one after the game. from Maccy Ds its only a five to 10 min walk down bumpers lane.
before the game I really dont think anyone will have a problem in there colours at all like I said the city cant wait to see you back and I think you will get a very good welcome back.
We do have a group of young 16 to 17 yr olds that hang around the bumpers lanes area after games picking on rival fans just be smart and cover up. They are not the local hooligan firm they are just local scallies who seem to arrive outside around 4:30 ish just to bait fans.
There has been a strong rumour going around the pubs though that You are bringing a lot of Fans that have been banned at Burnley and are coming for trouble( not Accy fans but burnley thugs).
This has seemed to grow and our local loons seem to be getting ready to welcome them in the town centre.
Hope this is just that a rumour and both sets of fans get on well as we should as I for one cant wait to see you back its been to long.
I hope you all have a great day apart from the result and enjoy your day in the city there is loads to see and do.
Like I said CCFC welcomes you Back.

Re: Welcome Back

Thank you very much for that very warm welcome Toonchester ! :)

I must admit that I am very excited about Stanley's first League Two game back after being away for 44 years and I will be there with my wife, decked out in Stanley colours.:D :D :D

Thanks also for the tips about parking - always useful for those of us who don't know the city and don't want to get stuck in an almighty traffic jam as we attempt to leave.

I am sure that the atmosphere will be a really good one (I have heard that the match is to be televised on Sky) and that we will have a great day out - an even better one if Stanley can win first time up !!!! :D

:not_ripe: CHESTER CITY HERE WE COME - STANLEY ARE BACK !!! :not_ripe:

Re: Welcome Back

Yeh it is £17 if you want a seat in the stand.
If you lot are looking for pubs then there is not alot around the ground and it is worth a short drive away from the ground if you want a drink.
If you plan on drinking in the city you will have loads to choose from but down by the ground its a bit of a desert.
Still there is the Eight Rights about a mile and ahalf from the ground which
has a good mix of home and away fans with a large car park and food.
Just up from there is the Edgerton opposite the Countess Hospital OKish
or better is the FROG a canny pub on the main rd past the hospital in a nice area. There is also a couple of pubs by the Racecourse The Fat Cat and the Watergate which are a good 15 to 20 min walk from the ground.
The nearest is in the Mega Bowl which has a bar but to be honest it is not up to much but it is close to the ground.
If any of you are coming in from the end of the M56 instead of the M53 cust out the city there is a good few pubs on your way in.
The Lepricorn is in Deeside on Drome corner and is a fair pub and only a 5to 10 min drive along sealand rd and in to the ground.
Any more I can help with just ask.
