How very strange if not a little quaint. The Last time I was in Darlington I actually did get stuffed.

The pitch is slightly uneven and falls away to a gentle slop towards the Coppice end. The lads will hopefully correct me if I wrong on that point.

There is a good sized Bar behind the main stand, I am not clear about the status of the Bars at either end, hopefully they will be up and running so we can lighten your pockets as well as your puffed up attitudes.

Prices aren’t too bad at around 2 quid a pint. I can’t be more precise because I never ask the price of a pint.

There are many comfortable and friendly pubs around the area of the ground that will be more than happy to cater to your needs.

In answer to your final question we will welcome you to our town and our ground with open arms; there are plenty of food bars and loos around the ground and many friendly Stewards to guide you should you need any help. Again, you are all very welcome. Should you manage to stuff us we will take it as a lesson and return the compliment at a later date? Somehow I don’t think you’ll find it that easy. Enjoy.

Re: darlington fc are coming

Surely now that we have (temporary) bars at each end, then the main bar in the clubhouse is for people who have paid to go into the main stand. I thought the whole idea of segregation meant that those in the Clayton end used the facilities behind that stand along with those in the Whinney Hill Terrace to half way and the away fans had the facilities behind the Coppice or is it Town end? Would have thought the door to the outside world at the back of the clubhouse would be closed so that no oine could sneak into the main stand, please feel free to correct me if I am wrong though

dont know if those tempory bars will be there on tuesday though as they werent there for the blackpool game....but not 100% on this...plus i know that mick the safety officer is trying hard to come up with an idea in the mean time to try and get us our pint but he is finding it hard to sort something out with the many resrictions from the league

Something needs sorting soon as the club are losing loads of bar money every game.

I didn’t mind the funny little tent things we had for the Blackburn game as a one off, but I wouldn’t want to spend money to drink out of a tin can. Until the matter is resolved I’ll stay with the crown, although the Peel Park is on the cards for Tuesday. :)

If we do have one of the tent things again can we at least have a red and white one? I can pretend it a roof. :D

That won't be happening again, Stewards had a nightmare trying to keep everybody behind the terrace. It's illegal to watch the match whilst consuming alcohol.

been round to the Ground this morning, no sign of any Bars. food van has been moved at Clayton end, to in between the two toilet blocks. they are maybe making room for the new bar. I really can't see it being in place for tomorrow night.
Darlington fans you will get a good reception, plenty of friendly banter, but nothing too serious, please enjoy yourselves, there are plenty of pubs round the ground. The Crown only 100 metres from ground, food available in ground, chips pies hotdogs burgers ect. have a good night.
