What's happened to Winstanley!
Anyone know what's become of our mascot, Winstanley. He was an ever present on the pitch before games last season yet hasn't made an appearance as yet. I know the lady who donated him is quite upset that he doesn't seem to be around - anyone know where he is and if he will be used again this season?

To whoever wrote the 'reputation comment' about Winstanley saying 'he looked crap'. Maybe to you he did but he is part of the Stanley tradition - years ago we had a real bulldog, obviously that would probably not be allowed now - and someone went to a lot of trouble making him so no need to slag him off.

Easy peasy
We originally wanted a club mascot as a bulldog to follow in winstanleys pawsteps.. but after extensive searches by bottletop (after I gave up) the cost was about 2 thousand pounds to have one made.. so me made do with one donated for free.. beggers can't be choosers and hence why we ended up with a monkey originally.. http://images.fotopic.net/yyc5zd.jpg |

Did only me notice that Winstanley was back on his patch yestersday?? Well done to Mick for bringing our mascot back into the fold!! Kipax, thought you would have recoreded this important occassion!:) |
