Re: New Family Tickets - on sale now!

Works out at £1 per junior standing and £2 per junior sitting. Quite a good deal. Let's hope that it is well advertised in the newspapers.

Excellent!!! At last:D

Can i go into store just before the match or does it have to be purchased earlier than that? If so be shame they cant utilise world choice for tickets albeit a lot closer & convienient to pick up while shopping than going upto shop & back again later for match:rolleyes::D

Well done, if this doesn't raise the crowds a touch nothing will
Yeah i'd like an answer to that one also, plus are there limited numbers available or not? meaning should I go to the store and get mine just for chance they have all been sold (If limited) before kick off.
One last thing, should we all rethink about our guesses for the Rochdale gate

Your not trying to say Rob has done this because he's too tight to pay £4 to get young Charlotte in are you, you might end up paying double if you are :)

I doubt it will make too much difference for the next game.. But if this isn't just a one off then when more people get to know about it then it should certainly make a difference as the season goes on.

DanTheMonkey 24-08-2006 13:26

Re: New Family Tickets - on sale now!

Certainly a step in the right direction people

Full marks to the club :D

accymel 24-08-2006 13:29

Re: New Family Tickets - on sale now!

I hope it isnt a one off, i think if they continue this offer & hopefully make it a bit widely available like at worldchoice as well as club shop or buy before the match im sure once word gets about then im sure its the right step of bringing more people to the matches & also helping encourage the youngsters support, certainly putting a competetive edge on the local catchment of wavering supporters or even convert some over to us :D

Nice to see the club taking notice & trying this element - well done:D

Great move by the club :)

Re: New Family Tickets - on sale now!

If its advertised well in the next few days, and the weather stays like it is now it should make a big difference for the Rochdale match, thats the way i'm thinking of it.

Re: New Family Tickets - on sale now!

KSH just put family tickets available for as cheep as £14 that £1 for a junior!!!

Wynonie Harris 24-08-2006 13:42

Re: New Family Tickets - on sale now!

Would it not be an idea to have a bold flash on the posters saying "Special money-saving family tickets now available! Save ££££s!" or something similar?

K.S.H 24-08-2006 13:44

Re: New Family Tickets - on sale now!

Good ideas, will have a look at it later and see what I can fit on, cheers

fantastic move by the club, i think advertising will be the key here, i assume it will be int`observer, a few posters round town would`nt go amiss, in shops etc....:D

FELIX 24-08-2006 14:28

Re: New Family Tickets - on sale now!

Great to see such a positive response....

It's not limited, although for these prices to apply, a ticket must be purchased from the store and then handed in at the turnstile, other than that we'll sell as many as people want to buy.

It's a bit late now for the rochdale game but hopefully these tickets will prove popular over the next few weeks.

accymel 24-08-2006 14:32

Re: New Family Tickets - on sale now!

So you can nip into store before the match & purhase a family ticket then head towards turnstile ??? Cool:D

K.S.H 24-08-2006 14:52

Re: New Family Tickets - on sale now!

Another quick question, is it available to away supporters? your gonna get some reading this post or the fishy site and they will be wanting to know, it just says Clayton end and main stand.

I'm not as happy as the rest of you. I bought season tickets for my son and me. These new prices mean I would have been better off keeping my money in my pocket and paying on a week to week basis.

denise 24-08-2006 18:36

Re: New Family Tickets - on sale now!

I agree with YERSELF, Stanley should have had all ticket prices sorted well before the start of the season. I do think that prices should be dropped for families/kiddies, but not at the expense of losing the older generation who use the stands. What if all the O.A.P's [ who have watched Stanley for donkeys years ] cant get a seat in the stands because kiddies have paid £1 to sit there, are forced to stand in the Clayton end, that as we all know is open to all the elements, they will stop coming.
YES, by all means produce family tickets, but only for the Clayton end.
Before you all start SHOUTING, yes, i have family, yes i stand on the terraces if i bring them, just so that my 5yr old child is not taking a seat that a pensioner could use.

baldy 24-08-2006 18:50

Re: New Family Tickets - on sale now!

Reserve a seat - Some more money in the clubs coffers, plus u can turn up and have a seat :D

Re: New Family Tickets - on sale now!

while I agree the club should have had some forethought a bit earlier regards family tickets - you have to admit that crowds are lower than most people imagined they would be and they had to react positively to this. I admire them for putting their hands up and saying they were wrong. I would admire them even more if they offered some money back on season tickets bought for juniors.

As regards the point raised with pensioners losing their seats I would say that this issue is going to come up a lot this season and that the clubs' hand towards the roof will be forced. The club should never be backed into a corner but they have only themselves to blame if that happens.

But if that does happen then at least we will be getting bigger crowds again!

How many can we take away to Rochdale?

longballking 24-08-2006 19:49

Re: New Family Tickets - on sale now!

Great move by the club. Regarding hard done to junior season ticket holders, i very much doubt you will get any money back but perhaps the club should let you have free tickets for any future cup ties this season (lets hope there is plenty) as some sort of compensation. What do you reckon?

denise 24-08-2006 19:52

Re: New Family Tickets - on sale now!

hey baldy, i have paid and reserved my seat, ask Eric, and John [ he loves me ], but as i respect my elders i still stand if needs be !!, if you need more proof ask Russ and Gill, if not Tess !!

Looks great...could you put some sort of starburst shape around it to really kick it out?

I tried that but it's tight between all the text down there without resizing everything, might have another bash but i've already done some now while I was cloneing the fraser eagle logo onto Mullins and Boco's shirts, I didn't like the Fifa 07 one :)

Provided the people in question were happy with that arrangement now then it seems more logical. You are not giving anything back then and only conceding possible future gate money that may or may not have come in anyway.

hi
Just wondering if there might be a family ticket for over 12's or will they be counted as a junior???? This might also help the gates as the children in my family are all over 12 yrs...

The family ticket is available for the Clayton Terrace and the Main Stand, they are not available for the whinney hill/coppice terrace, which as you all know is currently where the visiting fans reside....

Due to the late announcement about the family ticket, for saturday's game you will be able to get one in the shop right up to kick off. For all other league games these tickets will be on sale up to the day before the match.

If you can get one in the shop up to kick off for tomorrow, then why can't you do it for every match? What about people who are coming from out of the area or who decide to buy one on the spur of the moment?

Is the family ticket still available ????? Notice its now not mentioned on site now:rolleyes:

Re: New Family Tickets - on sale now!

Thats when it started from, but like I say they have stopped it now, I got told to take it off the posters a few week back, no-ones gonna pay £14 for 1 adult and 1 child when they can just pay for the adult :D

lancsdave 06-04-2007 19:30

Re: New Family Tickets - on sale now!

Presumably they have dropped the family ticket and introduced the 'membership' scheme so they can charge away fans as much as possible to attend games at the FES

By offering an 'open sale' family ticket at the Clayton end of the ground, FA rules ( which govern football league matches for admission purposes) meant that the club will have had to offer the same ticket to away fans, despite their original statement that it didn't apply at the Whinney Hill end of the ground. Thats why Torquay fans couldn't be charged for admission the other week.

Do away fans bring a lot of children to games because the membership scheme seems a lot of effort for little gain ?
