Re: Carling cup - Great news
I predict West Brom away
I would like. Everton away or Leeds away.. To be honest I wouldn't want any of those at home... |
Re: Carling cup - Great news
They'd all be great away draws, but seriously, I don't want a home match.
|
Re: Carling cup - Great news
I still fancy Wigan but any of them should be good for the club but
I'm predicting QPR at Stanley edit - matches played Week commencing September 18th so i'm hoping it's played Mon Tue or Sat as i'm on shift Wed Thu Fri :) |
Re: Carling cup - Great news
But it would be great to humble the Everton bitters at FES. :D
|
Re: Carling cup - Great news
any local teams away would be great
|
Re: Carling cup - Great news
I would think if you want to get some money in then Villa away would probably be the best option while the O'Neill factor is still pretty new.
|
Re: Carling cup - Great news
Historically, the early rounds of the Carling cup are not well supported, so I have to agree with Villa connection, although personally I would prefer Wigan or Middlesborough

Re: Carling cup - Great news
The villa angle does have a thingy... But I reckon the folk of Everton would show an interest and would be a decent crowd.... Leeds is just an awesome ground if you walk in the right entrance... low down , near half way and opposite the lurpack stand.. forget the silly name...its a truly awesome sight if you do the above..
My only visit to leeds utd was for an England v Italy game and I entered the ground as above.. all I could see was a wall of seats... I couldnt see anything else... other grounds you see a large stand.. floodlights, skyline or wahtever takes your eye... but there it was seats only as far as your eye could see when looking forward.. ie left right up down.... it was amazing.. same night one other amazing sight i wont forget.... had me laughing :) Check out the dopey burnley fan.. money well spent or what :) http://images.fotopic.net/yya308.jpg |

It's a premiership team that ....well... the chances of us wining there are slim.. would rather everton, man city, leeds or summat ... watford isnt even interesting... Apologies to any watford fans reading :) |

Re: Carling cup - Great news
What does it matter we play Watford we are in this round because we beat Forest. It will be a good day if we make it a good day so if you're going please make some noise and let Watford know we are there.

Re: Carling cup - Great news
Get your day off booked now & join us in the loudest rendition of "Stanley R Back" ever heard.................

Re: Carling cup - Great news
It should be a reasonable gate at Watford. Last season they were at home to Notts County and the gate was 7011 (333 away fans). The season before they were at home to Cambridge and the gate was 6558 (530 away fans).
