Re: new player signs
a winger, developed by Witton and their fans all wish him luck and hope that Chelsea sign him from us for £20m. No other details to be found on the Witton site other than he has scored three league goals this season.

Re: new player signs
He's been in training full-time with Crewe "while coming under the scrutiny of other league clubs". Sounds promising.

Re: new player signs
A replacement for Gary Roberts perhaps???

Re: new player signs
Yeah Spud,
The boy is a right winger and supposed to be decent by all accounts. I hear he's injured at the mo though and not trained yet so might not see him for his debut for a couple of games. ;) |
Re: new player signs

Crewe have taken Witton Albion's winger Shaun Whalley on trial. Crewe have taken Witton Albion's Shaun Whalley on trial after Witton's manager got in touch with Dario Gradi. 20-year-old Whalley made three subsitute apperances for Chester City after being awarded a pro contract back in 2004/2005 season but he was released in May 2005 and then joined Runcorn FC Halton. Whalley then joined Witton in March of this year and came back to haunt Runcorn FC Halton by scoring in a 4-0 win. Whalley has attracted interest from several league clubs after some stirling performances for Witton Albion, in which they are challanging near the top of the Unibond Premier Division. Gradi watched Whalley play in Wednesday night's 5-1 win over Tranmere Rovers in the Cheshire Senior Cup. Gradi said "I believe there is a bit of interest in him from other clubs, but Witton's manager got in touch and asked if we'd have a look at him. Witton manager Vince meanwhile said "I have no idea whether Crewe will be interested in him, but from my perspective the trial will only do him good. "It gives him a chance and gives Crewe the opportunity of one of the best young talents around." |
Re: new player signs
So at least he's played at a higher level than us. That bodes well!!

Re: new player signs
It's all well and good making signings, but first and foremost we need strikers, at least two at the moment. I've said it before, but if mully get's injured(god forbid!) we are knackered!
Anyway good luck to the lad and let's have a few more signings asap.:) |
