Re: Ipswich Fans on Roberts
Even IF we get 200K for Gary, you can be sure there will be a large percentage sell on clause included (as Eric had with a certain Brett Ormerod when we sold him to Blackpool). So what ever happens and Gary continues to shine and gets picked up by a Premiership club, then club are in the money again. Lets all leave it until January and see what happens then!

Re: Ipswich Fans on Roberts
Thats about right JEFF.. The rest is just guesswork..
Heres my guess.. things wont run that smoothly in the roberts saga and stuff isn't set in stone yet :) |
Re: Ipswich Fans on Roberts
I'd like to support that view Kippax but after seeing the way Gary has been playing for them Ipswich aint gonna let him go and anyway I believe the deal has been signed for the permanent transfer and will go through on January 1st!
|
Re: Ipswich Fans on Roberts
If the deals been signed then why as of after sundays game is Gary saying he is desperate to stay.... He surely would already know he is staying? Thats why i think not deal done.. Now you tell me why you think deal is done ?:)
|
Re: Ipswich Fans on Roberts
Cos Gary told me last week the deal/terms and that have been agreed with a view to it going through on 1st Jan Kippax. I'm not saying Coley couldn't put a stop to it but I'm pretty certain everything is agreed in principle but can't become official until Jan when then window opens.
We'll see in Jan then and I'll come back and tell you I told you so. Look I'd like to see him stay as much as the next Stanley fan but stop clinging on to what was and lets think about the players we have or might be getting. |
Re: Ipswich Fans on Roberts
With a view to it going through isnt the same as written in stone..:)
As to clinging on... are you still talking to me or have you wandered off... Gary roberts play for us again ??...What i am saying is that I dont think it will all go smoothly and theres twists and turns yet... None of which includes him playing for us.. And if its a case of forget him.. then why are you talking about him ? jeeze man i enter into a conversation with you that your already talking about...and then you tell me not to talk about him. FFS I cant even have a proper conversation on here anymore.. everyone wants to fall out.... sigh |
Re: Ipswich Fans on Roberts
Sorry maverick.. just getting peed off with all the doom and gloom and faling out... be nice to see some happy posts for a change from some of the regulars.... either that or i could make a fortune selling razor blades and they can end it all now:)
very depressing round here of late |
Re: Ipswich Fans on Roberts
Kip, I wasn't having a go either but just took exception to you saying 'how do you know it's a done deal?' etc. As I said in my other post last week I was speaking to Gary and he told me it was all but done.
Whatever we get for him needs to be spent wisely and I'm sure Eric and John will do that. Just think it's pointless talking bout Gary when he can't effect us while he's at Ipswich whether that's on loan or not. Just wish him well. |
Re: Ipswich Fans on Roberts
I offered my opinion why i thought it wasnt a done deal and gave reasons.. i didnt know yours so asked... its called conversation .... no one dies :)
End of day even though he doesnt play for us he could have a very BIG bearing on what happens this season depending on how much money we get for him.. the messageboard isnt just about players its about accy stanley in general and his transfer could be a big impact on the club in allsorts of areas... wouldnt you agree ? :) keep smiling.. I am... but its hard work :) :) :) :) |
Re: Ipswich Fans on Roberts

but is he insured at his present price or have they upped the insurance
|
Re: Ipswich Fans on Roberts
I would hope Ipswich have Insurance, or the compensation claim will cripple them. (current value, future value, earnings, sponsorship - and all that)
