New Items in the Club Shop

Moving on to something constructive for the club.
We are constantly hearing about how poor the choice is in the club shop, so I would like to know what items the fans would like to see and more importantly would BUY from the club shop?

1. I would like to see baby wear.

Items like Babygrows with the club crest on are cute and not that expensive to produce. The Items we've sold before, the little hats and bibs were great and encourage people to make their child/grandchild/nephew/neice a stanley fan wether their parents like it or not!!!

2. I would like to see a larger range of casual wear, jumpers and sweatshirts.

I know the club already do these but at the minute when you buy a sweatshirt, its the only design available and when you've bought it then the likelyhood is you aren't gonna buy another one!!!

3. Casual and Souvineer T-shirts

We have one of the most recognisable names in football and it's going unused at the minute. We could easily do a large range of designs using a good cheap t-shirt supplier and our screenprint heat press (number press).
The club could decide on a choice of logo's / designs that can be easily made in screen or flexiprint and simply apply them to the customers choice of shirt. (similar to what kipax tried earlier in the season but in a smaller scale)

Ladies, gents and those who are yet to make up their minds!!
Can we please keep this thread free of tittle tattle and negative comments, and make it full of positve ideas for the club to look into.

Many thanks

Sarah.

Deffo the baby wear!! Great thread, Stanley Umbrellas(not joking either)
Accy stanley, birthday cards, gift wrapping.

What about those clear plastic club badges for the rear window of your car, a large(quarter window) one from everton are only a fiver.

stuff for the kids to make a racket with; plenty of the little plastic horns (blowing type), little wavy flag things etc.

Lets make the Clayton end look like London does around coronation day/St Georges Day/any England winning something day. Lets have volunteers walking up and down the path selling this kind of tat.

In fact lets have a competition who can name that path. 50p a go (oops differnt thread coming up

Definately Stanley Umbrella`s, i would buy one of those.
I have a car scarf, bought it jonks ago, cant believe they dont have any anymore, as i wanted one to send to a friend in the USA whos`s become a fan from afar.
I also asked my son to buy me a Stanley tie for Xmas as i thought they had them, but alas none left.
I also want a Stanley mug to take to work.

Accrington stanley crockery sounds good, and maybe the glass ware to go with it.

Also kids bedding and curtains, actually I bet you'd get rid of a few king size sets too!!

Club Birthday cards and Special Occasion cards for the discerning fan would be nice, but not tat.

A range of High Quality products would be nice. I noticed a large Key ring in the shop the other day, nice but a little bit to big, something half the size would be perfect.

Looking at their contacts page it appears its a minimum of 25 and could take up to 8 week, or over 8 week to get the best price

bigger choice of t-shirts, including a remake of the early - mid nineties grey one. (I had one and wore it to death, also saw somebody wearing one in the ASDA in the summer, it still looks good).
I think little handheld flags would be great, especially for the kids.
Bedding, curtains, cups and glasses is a brilliant idea.

Bedroom curtains :D so i can replace my sons premadonnaship ones with local team splendor hehehehehe & see if he notices the switch round as colours are same LOL & if i could be ar*ed to redecorate his room then the wallpaper would be handy but im not cos he wrecked this one, but might do for a little fans room :D but that is going really merchandised mad pmsl!!!!

Sporty sweatshirts for proper insultation in club style for cold wet months under the roof called sky :D

As others suggested something that would be ideal for a pressie to give someone & varied choice, also enough staff to make sure orders certainly online gets improved:D

"The Stanley Heritage Range" drawing on our eventful and unique history...replica vintage shirts (OK, I know another company has done it, but WE should be doing it and making the money from it), prints of classic matches from Peel Park, a set of replica cigarette cards, each featuring a famous player, mounted and framed.

I remember having one of those grey t shirts it looked great i was never out of it.the shop does need to do a larger selection of t shirts and polo shirts they would sell hundreds.

Noticed that they have now got some new stuff in pin badges, keyrings, wallets, bags, trophies, new books, Celtic cross CD, crackers, party poppers :D, pint glasses, tax disc holder, scarf, as well as the full range of shirts

so plenty of things there to buy for christmas :D

Some great ideas on here. My lad would definatley have the bedding and curtains, also a range of casual t-shirts (like most other clubs have). And what about this for a crazy idea......how about selling the new season's kit before Accy fortnight (summer hols) instead of the limited supply available in august. Wearing the new shirt abroad while on your hols is a must (unless you support stanley, when last season's has to make do).

OK, the sensitive types might want to pass over this bit and find something that’s not likely to offend.

What a ******** waist of space and effort. Why bother having the club shop online when you’re not exploiting its potential.

To start with get a couple of nice looking girls to model all of the clothing lines, Shirt’s, Scarf’s, Hats and Rain ware, have an half decent photographer take Photographs around different areas of the club capitalising on what the Ground has to offer. Remember that we are potentially selling to hundreds, if not thousands of willing buyers the world over and for them to see an area of the ground as well as the goods is a bonus.

Photograph the full range of goods on sale and get the images online, clear and detailed, make some effort over it, give better descriptions and provide a little more detail around logos etc, make use of the space available, a little bit of imagination will pay dividends.

I’m not have a cheap shot or taking the ****, but what would it cost to do a little more in order to increase sales of Stanley Merchandise.

make some effort.... the fairies havent been doing the shop up until now you know... I agree its greatly lacking in stock and run like a cartoon..... but dont presume that means no one has made an effort ..

yes you are.... you could same the same things without the asterixes and references to no effort... I happen to agree with what your saying.. but as somoene who has put some effort in by first making the shop then photographing everyhting and even dragging my kids down there as models. its not my fault if its been run shoddy .... doesnt mean no effort been put in ..

the club are in the paper and having press conferences saying they want more money... yet a golden opportunity exists that they are not exploiting properly... nearly crimbo and everything isnt in the shop... and what is there isnt even available half the time.. the online shop could be a stand alone business in itself... they could be coining it in...

why arn't they?

This is what I keep saying again and again! At this moment on ebay are Stanley mousemats, badges, dog tags, cooking aprons and T-shirts, all unofficial and all diverting money away from where it should go! If the club want an invaluable new income stream THEY MUST SORT THE MERCHANDISING OPERATION OUT!! (and that's meant positively and constructively!). :D

Sorry to bring this up again.
Last night I was thinking (week and a half off work, getting bored, perhaps). How about a booth on the away end, with T-shirt printing, similar to the ones at Blackpool prom, where they iron on logos on plain T-shirts. Only ours will have the opposition club crest and underneath in small letters - Accrington Stanley V (whoever we are playing) plus the date. - £10 each.

The transfers can be printed on that T-Shirt paper for Inkjet printers, probably 3 T-shirts per sheet of paper, and Ironed- on, on request. I think 10 - 20 T-Shirts per 3-400 away fans will be possible, not a lot but it may just catch on and it's a 1 or 2 hundred quid quid per match.

just a thought.

I think that is an excellent idea Redash ! :D It would also make a nice souvenir of the away teams visit to the Fraser Eagle Stadium (or an unpleasant reminder when Stanley thrash 'em !!! :) :D )

How about having some items modelled by a fit bird, and some modelled by a fit bloke...? That way everyone's got someone they can ogle! Everyone's a winner.

I feel all items in the club shop are way overpriced... The mark up is way over 100% on the current Surridge website:confused: i appreciate the garments need to be badged but still the mark up is massive.

Now before you all jump on me no i dont expect the shop to give stuff away `and yes all the profits go into the club...but it needs to reasonably priced.

In general Lancashire is not at the higher end of the wage scale.

What about a sale ??
