i have affections with accrington stanley and i was delighted when the came back into the football league im a big burnley fan and go home and away who do you prefer rovers or the clarets

the three are very close in proximity but people in burnley like the stanley but dislike rovers iv always wondered why when accrington is closer on the football league map

I support Blackburn because that's where i was born & raised. I've been in Accrington about 6 years now, & i always want ASFC to do well.

They may be close in geographical terms but the rivalry is more to do with history than road miles.

sucking up 2 accy fans lol no i agree i dont hate rovers fans but i think burnley has always had to work for where that are they have never had any money and i think lookin back i think the clarets have won more trophies

I'm not sucking up. I live & work in Accrington that's why i follow the team. When i lived in Aldershot i followed them aslo. It was the same when i was in Bielefeld (Germany). I always like to see the local team doing well. It's good for the town & good for the local economy.

I'm sorry - am I missing something, why would you come on the Stanley forum asking people if they prefer Rovers or Burnley? As far as I'm concerned there's only one team worth supporting round here and that of course is Stanley. I don't have a 2nd team nor would i want one thank you very much. Why do people presume that if you support Stanley you must have another higher league team as well? Don't get it :)

Why anyone who is a true red would want to support a team in either Blackburn or Burnley escapes me

I read the initial post as meaning who do you prefer, Blackburn or Burnley as a second team, & not instead of Stanley. Not all people have a second team, which is afterall their own choice.


What's the point of having a forum where an individual can't ask a simple question, or have an opinion?

I don't want this to be common knowledge, but don’t have any particular dislike of either Blackburn or Burnley. If I had to have a second team it would in fact be one or the other of these. I have strong family links with both areas and it’s on that, that I base my allegiances. But alas I don’t want a second team and Accrington Stanley will always be there. On Stanley On. Don’t you f****ing repeat this to any of them *******s

1) Accy Stanley Ladies
2) Accy Stanley Reserves
3) Accy Stanley Youth

Blackburn because my parents come from Skem and my family know old players Dave Whelan, Woods and Leyland. Also I went to school with a close relative of Bobby Langton.

Also Burnley are in the same league as SWFC and have taken a point from Hillsborough in each of the last 2 seasons though SWFC started their revival with a win at Turf Moor last boxing day.

dont mind any of them, but i dont like PNE, half of my family are Burnley half are blackburn. then you get the others who are Accrington Stanley :D
