Finally official, Jonathon Smith leaves Barrow to join Mossley AFC on a free transfer. [Barrow site 7/12/2006]

Smithy now captain, and Man of Match yesterday in 0-0 draw with Prescot Cables. His 3rd MoM since moving there, we'd expect nothing less :) .

Also noticed Dean Calcutt now at Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Following the Whatever Happened to...

Ashley Foyle is now playing for ex-Chesterfield manager Nicky Law at Buxton. They're currently 8 points clear at the top of Unibond League one, which as you know has had some pretty good clubs in it over the years.

Interestingly, what he gets just for turning out on a Saurday is around half what Accy were paying him for which he had to travel from Sheffield to Barnoldswick four days a week!
