Re: My brother is coming for Trials with Accrington Stanley.
I know Stanley's youth system is still in it's infancy but I would imagine even now they are looking at lads around 12/13 yrs old, otherwise they will miss the boat. They may pick the odd one up at 15 who is a late developer but it's a million to one chance that nobody else has spotted but it's probably a million to one chance.

Re: My brother is coming for Trials with Accrington Stanley.
For that age group I spoke to them on phone about a month ago (after being ignored by email) and they said they have too many players and the only way a kid that age would get in is if he was already proven to be of exeptional high standard..... doesnt sound like there holding trials anytime soon :)

Re: My brother is coming for Trials with Accrington Stanley.
Can we keep this thread on topic please (youth academy, etc) and not let it lapse into another slanging match like the previous thread.
Cheers. :) |
