Stanley to break China?
Anybody had a look at the new Stanely website catering for the Asia market?
www.accringtonstanleyasia.com quite a good effort, the interviews with Eric and John are quite good as well. I especially like th equote from Eric "in five years time we will playing at a new ground and challenging for promotion to the Championship" I like the enthusiasm that Eric has. Anyways, have a look at it, then send em an email telling em what you think. We need to encourage this type of activity. |
Re: Stanley to break China?
Now that is good. Cheer’s Macca, and I totally agree..

Re: Stanley to break China?
Brilliant! This is exactly what the club should be doing! Well done, Eric, Rob and everyone else behind this groundbreaking initiative! :)

Re: Stanley to break China?
why is the uk fishy site not as good? impressed:D
|
Re: Stanley to break China?
Am I missing something ? What makes it different to the 'official site'.
Before anybody thinks I'm knocking it because I'm not a Stanley fan I'm not but it's totally gone over my head :D |
Re: Stanley to break China?
English is a hugely popular language in China. It is taught in most schools and there is a massive demand for English teachers (according to an article I read in Newsweek recently). When you consider that the population of China is over one billion, it's going to be understood by quite a lot of people.
As for the Chinese version, the bloke from the takeway's coming up to the ground to do that soon. :D Seriously though, at least the club are now taking steps to market their name, as we've been telling them to do for years. Give 'em a chance, lads! :) |
Re: Stanley to break China?
wynonie you have seriously missed the point mate.. if its in english.. how is it asia or cracking the asia market... arnt they allowed to look at the official site?
Its another accrington stanley website..(the more the merrier) if its in english then its not country specific..the world wide web isnt country specific is it? therefore unless its displayed in chinese then its not asia specific thats the point being made.... |

Oh and its not the club.. its a burnley fan :) |
Re: Stanley to break China?
It's Asia specific because I would imagine that there's a link to the Chungdu Blades site. Blades fans (or at least, English speaking Blades fans) who take a look at the Stanley site may develop an interest in our club. I suppose that's the thinking behind it.
Look, it's not a printed leaflet which is set in stone, it's a website which can be changed, improved and developed (and, yes, Mr K, I know I'm displaying my Bleedin' Obvious Party credentials by saying that!). But at least it's the first faltering steps towards a worldwide marketing strategy! |
Re: Stanley to break China?
Again... so if I put a link to the blades site on the fishy site does that make the fishy site asia specific?
I am not talking about if the site is good or usefull or wether its a good thing to have,., i believe it is and i aint knocking it one bit... I just dont see how your arguing its country specific when its in english and on the www... the only difference between that and the fishy site is that it has the word asia in the url.. that doesnt make it a chinese specific site no matter how much you move the goalposts... its another accringtoin stanley website THAT IS GOOD!! but its hardly chinese is it.. theres only one point being made here.. :) |
Re: Stanley to break China?
OK, Mr K, point taken. You must admit it looks quite impressive though...but what did you mean, it's a Burnley fan?
|
Re: Stanley to break China?
