"Accrington Stanley defender Danny Ventre is facing eight weeks on the sidelines with a shin injury. Medically speaking a fracture and a break are the same thing.
8 weeks is the average time for a fracture with the bone healing coreectly the first time placed in a cast. After the cast has been removed the leg will be x-rayed again and if all is well fuctional and sports specific rehab can then begin. In a way it is better to suffer a break than a grade 2or 3 ligament tear as ligaments take longer to heal and rehab than bones do! I wish danny a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back at full fitness as soon as possible! |
