It's a fracture, not a break.
I doubt he'd have been able to walk through the bar after the game with a broken tibia!

Medically speaking a fracture and a break are the same thing.
8 weeks is the average time for a fracture with the bone healing coreectly the first time placed in a cast. After the cast has been removed the leg will be x-rayed again and if all is well fuctional and sports specific rehab can then begin.

In a way it is better to suffer a break than a grade 2or 3 ligament tear as ligaments take longer to heal and rehab than bones do!

I wish danny a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back at full fitness as soon as possible!

A 'broken' bone in football usually insinuates a compound fracture however I think Ventre's injury is more of a transverse fracture which would explain him walking afterwards.

Anyway, hope for a speedy recovery Danny.
