why would they give money back.. you got what you paid for.. a football match... nothing there to say how long it has to last for..

had it been postponed at 3pm that would ahve been a different story :)

Always a contentious issue when games are abondoned. A football match lasts 90 minutes, did the paying fans see 90 mins ?

Customer relations comes in to play now, if the weather is dodgy in future how many fans will stay away if they think they aren't going to get a full game and no recompense ?

How many actually braved it today attendance wise ?

Must admit I was put off by the weather forecast for the 85 mile trip.

Having lived in Otley for 8 years some of the roads I know about and use are pretty exposed and minor.

Diesel 2 ways over 4 hours in the car and £15 for a 45 minute no result would have been a bit hard to take.

Like moi? with no ROOF & the weather as tempermental as it is, certainly heavy rain for past few days - there was no way i was risking flu for it & tbh im soo glad i didnt bother now i'd of wasted majority of my money for 45mins  - but yeh u have a good point cos this will make those that did brave it today consider it more if there is no continency plan for this occurance:rolleyes:

To be honest i didnt think it would be playable today as of yesterday

You were lucky, I told you yesterday they would struggle with the pitch , at least I was half right :D

Well I can't speak for everyone but when I go to a match I pay to watch two halves of it not one, if its lashing down like that again I want to see the pitch before I pay so I can make my mind up if I want to risk being thrown out at half time. People go to support their team in weather like this and yet their expected to pay again for it - well I aint

Are you sure a football match lasts 90 minutes.. only by my reckoning todays lasted 45 so that kinda blows your argument out of the water doesn't it :)

Have a look how many other matches where abandoned today.. quite a few.... look on there websites or messageboards.. you dont get your money back.. Its not a stanley thing so no use having a go at the club people:..
