Re: Macclesfield Have Caught Us

This appears to be the position north of the Border:

"Match Suspensions cover all competitive games played by the club but do not include trial matches, friendly matches, tournaments, regional or national trial matches or schools football. Matches included under this suspension must be fixtures issued by either league, regional or national match secretaries. A match which is abandoned does not count as a completed match in terms of a player serving a suspension."

Can't find the position here as yet.

Yes and they're looking to expiate their performance at FES earlier in the season.

I hope Phil's suspended match is counted from today or we're gonna be struggling on Monday with Leam also suspended for the Wrexham game

The match today was null and void so any suspensions are still in place as they were at this time last night.

Leam's suspension was mentioned in Accy Observer, but not on FA site  , anybody clarify this?

So does Rocky's booking today not count?

Please someone correct me if I am wrong, If Mangy and Phil Edwards suspensions are still ongoing due to abandonment of match, then presumably, Leam Richardson should be available for the Wrexham match, on the grounds that the match against Mansfield never happened? Comments please!

I think it does if the match went into the second half.

Suspensions start from a specified date and run for x number of matches.

I just checked the league site and can't see why Richardson would be suspended, according to that he has 8 yellows. If the yellow cards he received against Bristol & Bury have not been added to that list then he would have 10. However suspensions for accumulated bookings start 7 days after the last booking, so even if the Bury card had taken him to the limit his suspension wouldn't start until Tuesday.

Red card suspensions are always applicable for the next game.

Re: Macclesfield Have Caught Us

would a yellow or red card issued in an abandoned match count as the match clearly doesn't?

Nothing counts, the match never took place

Ah right. the match never took place, no-one got p*** wet through, the Mansfield fans weren't chanting outside the club offices - it must have all been a bad dream :)

Television producers did well too because they made up a game to show on the championship this morning :D
