Seeing as we get outside support from both Burnley and Blackburn fans I thought it was pretty unprofessional to have a go at Burnleys result. Stick to the facts and leave your personal opinions at the door. Leicester City! Jeez.

I always thought john Tannoy man was decent enough at the job, thanks should go to him from the club along with an appology over how they told him.

But to be fair to him a guy who is a professional DJ and has his own show on a local radio station is always going to sound good over a microphone. Nice to see some variation in music too, although I though the music the lads ran out to (rocky sound track?) was just pure unadulterated chedder!!! Whether you like it or not that song has to mean something to the fans, and currently that song is Cart On.

I think asking for an apology when we dont know what happened is a bit OTT.. Otherwise agree 100% :)

It wouldn't surprise me. I bet he still had to pay his own admission fee all the while he did the job.

Tannoyman, all the best - sorry to hear this shocking news. I agree with others that the club should acknowledge his input over the last three years especially as it has been free gratis, as a lot of other workers at the club are (50-50 draw ticket sellers and gateperson for example). Pity we can't have the bloopers on record, but I think we can remember them and think back with fondness at the job you have done.

Dead right.

The "human touch" is one of the things all true football supporters love most about Stanley and it will be a terrible loss were they to return to the Conference.

I hope Tannoy Man comes on here and clarifies the situation. If the club want to 'upgrade', then fair enough. It's the way it's been done that interests me.

We (Oaklea Tavern) had some corporate guests at the match yesterday because we sponsored the program on Boxing day & were also associate sponsors of the Mansfield game. A couple of our guests are Burnley fans, & they were less than impressed with the announcement. I understand that it was probably said in a fun & jovial context, but still not very clever.

The club needs these people to keep paying for advertising & other forms of sponsorship deals, so to inadvertantly slag off their team is a tad silly.

:)

Personally I would like the club to clarify the situation, in fact the club SHOULD clarify the situation.

Thanks for a job well done Mr.Tannoy Man.

[I won't even start on the cloned numpty we've been given instead, could end up as bad as the prat at Stockport]

Inadvertantly would be one mention, to do it three times is unforgivable. I did`nt like him, sounded to cheesy and loving the sound of his own voice. A touch of the Gary Davies ( for those with long memories)

Definately sounds like Ricky Kirby. Tends to like his cliche's from the past.

True. I was trying to be diplomatic & give him the benefit of the doubt.
