Of course we will be there won't we. I had expected it to be a little less than that, at the end of the day it will cost me no less than a Saturday match. I bet Kisser takes my 3 quid saving away, unless I buy a Bearger for my tea.

Well if we get 3 points I'll feel better about it........On stanley On.

stanley.. i still think yer missing something... everyone who wants to go to the game are being charged the same if they went on the saturday or not.. so it didnt need recording who went.... see what I mean ? :)

Re: Mansfield re-arranged

So the people who didnt go are getting a cheaper game!!! and we have to pay double!!!!! Im not that happy about having to pay again but there is not much can be done about it!!!!!!!!

Re: Mansfield re-arranged

I'm not impressed at all. I think they have missed the opportunity to say thank you to the loyalists and they have missed the opportunity to attract new fans. New fans will not be swayed by a tenner for a midweek match in winter and the loyalists will not be impressed at paying 3/4 price having seen half a game. Bad call in my opinion.

Agree with you Rob
Hope they`re printing some coupons for future occurances.
I am however delighted cos I couldn`t go to the original but I can make it to the rematch.:D

I am with you on this one Zero, Even though I am a season ticket holder I missed the opportunity to get to the 'Never happened Mansfield' game due to work commitments. I can't see there being a big crowd though, especially from Mansfield but the club have to pay out enough for every match played so have to make some profit whenever they can. People forget it is a business and although they do not like having to cough up twice, which I understand, Eric still has wages etc to pay.

Totally agree with rob yes i understand kipax thankyou:D

Re: Mansfield re-arranged

isnt it about time that people paying per game through the turnstiles got some sort of receipt, so if something like this happened again ( and it will ) got a cheaper / free entry

KIPAX 05-01-2007 21:30

Re: Mansfield re-arranged

Whats the point.... everyone who paid is getting into the replay cheaper arn't they.. so how would reciepts make it any better?

maccawozzagod 05-01-2007 21:35

Re: Mansfield re-arranged

some people will still feel ripped off - rightly or wrongly. My opinion is that it was a Google Page Ranking opportunity missed

KIPAX 05-01-2007 21:50

Re: Mansfield re-arranged

maybe,.. but i dont see how reciepts or vouchers/reciepts would help..

a) if ya paid 13 quid.. watch half a game then watch the replay for ten quid

or

b) if ya paid 13 quid.. watch half a game then watch the replay for ten quid.. but show a voucher on entry ...

I am having trouble seeing how b) is a better deal?

Redash 05-01-2007 21:54

Re: Mansfield re-arranged

he's saying, if you came to the first match and got a voucher then you pay a tenner or less, if you didn't go to the first match you pay £13.

so its the same as they are doing now but with more knocked off and the added expense of vouchers that cant be easilly copied..

not gonna happen is it...not in real life:)

i completely agree denise, a receipt would be a great idea meaning people who attended the original match could show proof and attend the replay for say.. £8 quid whereas no proof = no discount! sorted.:D

But not everyone can afford such a large outlay all at once. Especially for a non-essential item.

People who pay weekly through the turnstyles actually give more to the club than those with season tickets.

If all games were on a Saturday I would buy one, but as games are played at nights and some of us work till 7pm or on night shift and cannot get to these games, people like me will be out of pocket, after all what do you gain with a season ticket - 1 match? i'd be out of pocket already and were only half way through the season

maccawozzagod 06-01-2007 12:22

Re: Mansfield re-arranged

I've sid before that season tickets should start at at least a five game bonus, the point of it is that it is a loyalty bonus. But my main gripe with not getting any real bonus (apart from the tenner you save if you buy in the first fortnight) is that it leaves no leeway to try something big and adventurous admission wise. I know you get the reserve matches as well but seeing as I haven't seen a reserve match for over twenty years, and they are often played at ridiculous times, I aint particularly going to start now.

Every year I consider buying a ticket but every year I dont because a) I cant particularly afford to and b) I know that I will miss a handful of games every season. If I knew I could save fifty or sixty quid on a full season then I would take the risk, but to pay all of it upfront and probably lose out I dont bother.

But anyway I spend more on the bar than most season ticket holders ;)

pipinfort 06-01-2007 14:02

Re: Mansfield re-arranged

i must admit i was nearer than ever buying a season ticket this year but the lack of bonus matches once again put me off, i agree with macca, should get at least five games free.:(
