A is for Adams, Daryl son of Sam a director in the 80's. Played more than 200 games for us.

N is for Pat Nelis a centre forward who came from Distillery and then went on to play for forest. He had 11 apperances for stanley and scored 14.

p is for Jack Parkin a centre forward who came from durham and then went onto chesterfield . He scored 36 goals and appeared 63 times for stanley.

S is for george stewart . Probabaly stanleys best ever goalscorer, a centre forward that played for 4 seasons at stanley. He came from st mirren, he played 182 games for stanley and scored 136. He then went to coventry.

U is for Underwood, Denis, a keeper of high reputation who played many games for, and managed, Clitheroe and later Great Harwood in the mid to late eighties- early nineties. I dont think he played many for us but certainly deputised on numerous occasions
