Have we given up trying to get players in?

Whilst I'm sure the official line will be that the club are still trying desparately to get players in, doesn't it look as though we've given up in the January window by going off to Spain?

Are clubs allowed to sign players from overseas after the January window closes ,that is someone registered in another country ?

Don't think I would be moving from the cold depths of Barcelona to the sunny climate of Accrington :D Not that he has a brother anywhere near here lol
