Loose change
there has recently been a bottle put on the bar in the clubhouse. This is for loose change donated towards the OSC kiddies christmas do next year. We collected around £100 at the ground in one afternoon this time around which went towards providing presents, food and DJ. The OSC does not mind making a loss on this event but we would like to put on a bigger and better event next time out.
Will anybody join me in collecting as much change as possible over the next few weeks and getting the collection off to a good start? |

I take it you will be setting a few quid in change aside for this wothwhile cause lancsdave? If not you could always volunteer to wear the frazer the eagle outfit on the day(like yours truly) and get mobbed by by numerous partying kids! |
Re: Loose change
lol well said spud. Sounds like a scary job actually, battling kids, especially when they've had too much sugar & fizzy pop!

Absolutley, i got asked at the eleventh hour(10 mins notice actually) and filled in for zayn. Along with santa with pressies and the DJ doing games the kids really enjoyed it. I don't envy zayn having to wear the outfit on a regular basis, it was like a bloody sauna after 20 mins and 3 dances!!  |

I've just counted mine, & there's £18. Yours if you want it, but you'll have to pop into the pub & pick it up.

Re: Loose change
just a last reminder .... ifr anybody has been saving their loose change for us then you can put it in the jar on the bar (har har) after any of the home matches coming up. The kids do is only about six weeks away and any of you can bring your kids or grandkids along - booking details to follow.
Alternatively if you can't make it into the bar there will be a bucket collection in early December. Thanks all for your efforts so far. |
Re: Loose change
thank you very much everybody for your efforts, particularly to Accyjay and the Oaklea Tavern.
£90.41, 3 x Barbados dollars, 1 x 1tiden, 3 Euro's and 35 cents, 10 Danish Ore, 1 American Dime and 1 cent, 5 Cypriot summats, 5 centimes, two scratchcards, 1 x party popper lid, collected via the jar. Vic Allonby and Swiss Tony have also donated the proceeds from the now defunct old Junior Reds so the kids should have a good party. 35 children have put their names down this year which is a big rise on previous years. |
