Listening to the game

Being a brand new fan to Accrington Stanley, and not being able to goto the game due to me being in the States; I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible for me to listen to the game.

Re: Listening to the game

If you`re lucky and the local superclubs (PC gone mad) aren`t fighting out their trivial feuds then you may get full match commentary if not live updates from.....

http://www.2br.co.uk
or
http://www.bbc.co.uk/lancashire/local_radio/

Or if Stanley are away from home try the websites for the local radio in that area.
If you log on here leading up to a match then someone usually comes up with a source.

Cart On Minnesota Cart On !

P.S. What time of day is 3 oclock saturday afternoon in Minnesota ?

Thanks for the help, to answer your question its 9:00 am Saturday at the start of the match. That's plenty of time for me to wake up from a fun Friday night and listen to the match.

Surely its 3 oclock?!! Or is it a trick question???

Bad advice regarding the Radio Lancs link Minnesotafan - useless for internet listeners - the rest is good advice though - best bet is 2br and let me know if when you choon in you get a message about your IP not being in the UK.. :)

Re: Listening to the game

I just checked the br website and it did give me a message about being not being in the UK; however I was able to listen to the BBC site, so if the match is going to be aired I would be able to hear it.

Hi and welcome buddy,

BBC Lancs VERY rarely do full match commentary, however 2BR do ............ may I suggest that you PM Jimbo T Hornblower for help regarding getting 2 Br on the internet, I know that He was able to help Kiwi John in NZ receive it.

Nice to have you with us!

Re: Listening to the game

Minnasotafan, the only way you will get to listen in the USA is a link from Jimbo to put in your I tunes. The BBC will not be available during the match, Radio Lancashire the same, (no loss). 2br is the only one and you need the link.

Re: Listening to the game

Thanks Bazf, Jimbo has already helped me so I think everything should be good for Saturday.

Dan and Karen do the best commentaries. The Radio Lancs just lack the passion and excitement. Surely wi` all t`internet and that tackle there should be a way to listen t`t Stanley and/or t`dingles in t`21st century an` all.

Was it something I said?

I thought we had something special Jimbo ... ;)

Just for information purposes, we've got at least 3 (and almostly certainly 4) commentaries in the pipeline. Will keep you all posted.

Passion and excitement, the lack of football knowledge, the right line up, and they sound like they want the other team to win.

Hi, Minnesotafan. As others have said, welcome.

Hope you have ordered plenty of goodies from the club shop so that you can display your enthusiasm "stateside". And I especially hope that you have ordered at least one calendar - but then I would say that!

Welcome aboard the Stanley train, Minnesotafan. If you don't mind sharing a bit, how did you find out about ASFC and what led you to join the cause?

I'm sure I will be corrected if I'm wrong, but aren't you two pretty close by?
And a 'G'day' to Minnesota fan.

Close is a relative thing, Mr Kiwi. It's at least 11 or 12 hours of driving from my home to any point in Minnesota so I am a bit closer than the rest of you but it's not ideal for a quick weekend visit.
