vs Stockport County

Why do we let in goals right on halftime?????????????????????

Let the last word ever spoken be 'Why'.

A double substitution at the break would suggest we aren't perfoming....

We did it last week too against Barnet John - just five minutes after we had scored !

At least Boston are 3-0 down at home to Shrewsbury, but we could do with Peterborough equalising against Macclesfield (they are 2-1 down at the moment).

Havn't a clue what Coleman was thinking. Playing 4-4-2 in the first half without a winger on the field.

Better performance second half with the introduction of Todd and Whalley but the damage had already been done.

I think we were playing 3-5-2 in the first half, but it was more like 5-3-2 in reality, as we had full-backs as wing-halves.

If we'd have played all night we'd never have scored. I'm not knocking the players as I think they gave all they had. The thing is, yet again, it's not enough. Stockport were well organised, but they weren't great. However, they were bigger, stronger and fitter than our lads. Probably on 3 times more money too, but fair enough.

Very good turn out from the visiting fans too. Must have made up half the crowd (3004).

I think we put out a team that looked for the draw. :(

I just think today our boys were a bit too strong for yours.

Boco is a good little player. Good touch and a turn of pace.

The goalkeeper looks a good player aswell.

I know its about our manager, but when Jimbo ran all the way down the touchline to shake Boco's hand at the end of the game (then all of your other players, but Boco was walking off the quickest) showed what a true gentleman he is!

Oh Well !
It was a great atmosphere.
Horrible way to lose it, I`m sure you Stockport boys wont be entirely satisfied that the only way you won was a lucky break away goal after a period of serious Stanley pressure.
Could have been 2 a piece really and that might of rewarded the excellent turnout.
Well done County fans for the best visiting support I`ve seen this season.
Brilliant to see both sets of colours flying so proud. Come Again.
It is true ! Podgers is a lazy fat ya Kna and cant be bothered to run for anything I lost count of how many times someone had to go and sort it out for him.
Almeida look pretty solid though, cant say I remember him doing much wrong. Keeper is good but cant kick so why not roll it out (just once for a laugh) Boco improving, Leighton McGivern running up and down happily before the game. Couldn`t understand when Coley said Monday Welch was one of his Free Kick men that he never took the field when there were 2 Free kicks in the 2nd half in carbon copy position to the Mansfield beuty.
Squandered into the wall.
Defence looked better and when Stanley had the ball on the ground passing it a round they enjoyed good spells of possesion and pressure, but they didn`t do it enough. Face it the whole team looked like midgets compared to them big ugly thingummies best of our play was neat and quick, that`s how we need to play the whole time. Stockport were fit they ARE a good team but it was only a lucky break that got them the points, think Stanley were well worth the draw and positives can be taken and Stanley will steadily improve, the players will start to gel and a couple more will return from injury.
The Ref was a muppett who seemed to think the ball entering the same quarter of the pitch as Paul Mullin was time to blow for a foul, but be fair to him he didn`t just restrict it to Mullers. Cowshed Liner was great at spotting the offsides though (which our defense played much better,)although he liked to wait to see if they could score before putting the flag up.
All in all it was a great day out (Sunglasses weather as well:cool: ) shame there wasn`t a few more from accy. Ultras were doing a great job and from the middle of that row I could hear a lot of noise from other areas so well done everyone on the vocals.

Cart On Stanley !!!

Re: vs Stockport County

The way I saw it(rosy tinted specs alert:cool: )

Atmosphere was a bit poor, due to the lack of roof and the way the County support were spread so the singers were in different groups. Plus the referee stoppin the game every 36 seconds:mad:!
We were poor, but probably did enough to win! You were far from great, but have probably got more than enough to stay up! The referee was utter, utter, utter ****E! I can't remember being so cross with an official after the game when we'd won! Normally you'll forgive a ref being so bad if your going away with a win, but that guy was shocking!

BTW your capacity is given as 5,057 so there is room for another 2,053:confused:!? I take it some of them would be sat on the roof?;)

Also, I am never getting the train to Accrington again! A 40 min drive, but it took over 3 hours to get home! Still I got to spend nearly an hour in Blackburn:rolleyes:!?

Anyway good luck! Didn't speak to enough of your lot, but you seem a decent bunch! Poper town, Proper football ground rather have your place than Dalekton any day of the week!:D
