ASFC Diversity Forum

the diversity forum run by East Lancs Together and Accrington Stanley was officially launched tonight.

All Premiership clubs must, by FA Law, comply to certain standards with regard to kick racism out of football. ASFC are actively pursuing the same standards as clubs such as Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Man United and are indeed possibly closer to acheiving those goals than the said clubs.

This is a more than worthwhile cause as it helps to promote integration through sport for all the diverse and ethnic groups. It is hoped that through ventures such as these ASFC can not only continue to prosper but can also benefit by attracting communities of people that otherwise we may have missed.

Accrington Stanley Supporters Club would like to take this opportunity to wish the forum all the best of luck and we will certainly contribute however we can.

Please take note that as of the beginning of next season, homophobic remarks made by fans will be regarded in the same way as racist remarks currently are - verboten. According to the FA, stewards will be asked to remove any fans making such remarks.

Consequently, there are only limited opportunties left for you to question the referee's, officials and opponents' sexual preferences.

What about shouting W****R ! W****R ! W****R ! at the keeper.
That may be his sexual preference.

Well done to the club for persevering with the Diversity Forum. I wish them every success. Any chance of a nice badge for the supporters to show that they are behind the club and the Forum.
